Over Promise, Under Deliver

In August of 2016, I begin looking for legal representation for a case. I got the opportunity to do a free legal consultation over the phone with Keith Hallam. He was very knowledgeable, and thorough with my legal matter. I was very confident with his practice and he assured me that it was a 98% chan...ce he could beat my case especially if I did all of my homework. From there I still decided to shop around in which I met up with 3 other Lawyers. After hearing them all out, I decided to hire Keith Hallam even though his prices were significantly Higher. I completed all of my homework and felt good about my decision. On the day of my case I met with a James Simons from Nova Legal group (Keith Hallam’s law firm) whom knew little to nothing about my case. I then had to explain to him details about my case minutes before my trial. He was unprepared and lacked confidence that he could get the outcome that Keith Hallam assured. Not only was I convicted but I also did jail time. I didn’t prepare my employer for this outcome (98%) so I ended up losing my job as well. With an abundance of knowledge of criminal cases combined with good ole fashion puffing makes Keith Hallam a great salesperson for his services. Unfortunately, I would much rather him Under promise and over deliver and leave the puffing to the sales people.

Find someone else who cares.

I chose Mr. Hallam's firm for a 2nd DUI charge. I spoke to Mr. Hallam on the phone. He made extreme promises without knowing all of the details of my case. I went in and spoke with another lawyer who was supposed to represent me in court. He asked me to complete 4 homework assignments. When I let him... know I had completed them he didn't even bother getting them from me. They were a waste of my time as the law firm didn't follow up on them. On the day of my case I walk in and a new "lawyer" is there. He asks me where I work (even though I've already provided that info to the firm). I tell him three times as he can't remember and keeps saying it wrong. Granted, it was a restaurant so it isn't hard to pronounce or long. He then asks me for a pen to write it down. Seriously? You don't have a pen? At this point even though I wasn't originally planning to take the plea I had to because I could tell that this guy had been to court max twice and was very fragile. He also tells me I have to accept the plea because the officer wasn't there. I walk in and the officer is there. When we go up all he has to do is say I'm taking the plea. The guy is sweating and shaking. He literally must've gotten his license the day before. Long story short, I wish I would've gone with a smaller firm that actually cares about their clients and sends experienced lawyers who know your case. I try to call the law firm several times to express how unsatisfied I was. Each time the receptionist tells me someone will call me back. When no one does I dispute the charges with my bank. After getting the dispute from my bank Mr. Hallam calls my cell phone at 10pm on a weeknight. I didn't answer because I didn't know the number. He then calls again back to back. When I answer he threatens that this is going to end very badly for me if I don't tell my bank to reverse the dispute and that I don't want to deal with a bunch of lawyers going after me. I had to tell him several times that he needed to speak with the bank and not me. I eventually had to hang up on him.

It's funny, but sad, that most things in life come down to MONEY. Kristina did indeed hire our Law Firm to represent her on her "2nd DUI within 5 years" Class 1 Criminal charge, with a significantly raised/high Blood Alcohol Concentration level, She was facing 2 YEARS IN JAIL,with 30 days of it being a Mandatory Minimum due to it's being a 2nd DUI within such a short period of time from her first DUI conviction, and because of her significantly high BAC. Due to our Law Firm's hard work, strategies and tactics,we were able to convince the Prosecutor to only give her 20 days mandatory jail time instead of the up to 1 year in jail that she was originally facing! A great outcome, right? Well,Katrina's case was finalized in August,2016,( a full 4 MONTHS PRIOR to her writing this negative review here). She also obviously believed it was a good outcome, otherwise she would not have waited 4 months to write a negative review? Then why did she write this negative review in December? The answer lies in MONEY!!! Katrina filed a REFUND REQUEST with her bank to cancel the money she had already paid to us by Credit Card and have all that she had paid us removed from our Law Firm Bank Account. Katrina gave the Bank her written version of why she should get her money back from us through the Credit Card dispute process, similar to what she has written here. Pursuant to the Bank Credit Card refund dispute process, we were encouraged to write our version of our representation of Katrina, which we did and,of course it 100% disputed her negative version. After the Bank received both of our versions, they ruled 100% in OUR FAVOR,denying Katrina's demand that the money she had paid us should be returned to her for the "alleged" bad legal work we had done for her. You can now see the "Punch Line" coming-Katrina only filed this negative here AFTER the Bank RULED AGAINST her,and FOR US!

Outstanding Lawyer

I could not have asked for a more professional and understanding lawyer. Nova Legal Group ;Keith Hallam Jr. kept me up to date and helped me along the way with any questions and concerns i had regarding my case. I was rear- ended and sustained injuries which required therapy and a long road to recove...ry. Keith Hallam and his team made this period in my life a bit more comfortable for me.

Accomplished, knowledgeable, expert with excellent follow-thru who delivers on the outcome promised!

Mr. Hallam is a very accomplished and knowledgeable attorney with a positive, can-do attitude. He is confident and assertive in both the courtroom and negotiating with the opposition. With clients, Mr. Hallam is patient and understanding. He has excellent follow through and successfully delivers o...n the outcome he promises. I would recommend him without reservation to anyone in need of a top-notch attorney to win any type of criminal or traffic case -- be it the most complicated or run-of-the-mill. I recently received a false citation for reckless driving after my unoccupied vehicle malfunctioned and rolled into two other vehicles. The ticketing officer lied and said I was driving. Mr. Hallam was the sixth attorney I spoke with about my citation, but he was the first attorney who was able to gain my confidence that he could and would get my case dismissed. This is because Mr. Hallam took the time to thoroughly understand my case. In fact, when we first spoke, I was pleasantly surprised to realize that he had already carefully read all my case related documents previously faxed to his office. Mr. Hallam then spent nearly two hours patiently discussing every aspect of the charges levied against me including all possible outcomes. By the end of our conversation, I knew Mr. Hallam had the professional background and expert knowledge of my case to get it dismissed. At court, the police officer stubbornly resisted the dismissal of my case. Therefore, Mr. Hallam spent two hours patiently deliberating the facts with both the officer and the prosecutor. Ultimately, because he had excellent preparation and a thorough knowledge of my case details, he was able to reveal that the officer had no proof of the charges, and so the prosecutor dismissed my case entirely. Mr. Hallam is a knowledgeable, honest, and expert attorney, who has a confident demeanor that was reassuring every step of the way. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone in need of legal help.
