Daniel Alfonso Tortolero

I had a child support/custody case with him. On our consultation session he sounds very knowledgeable but after I started my case I noticed that he is incompetent as a lawyer and lack common sense. My experience with him is super awful. I am the one who hired him but he suggested everything in favor ...of the other party. When I told him that I need sole custody, he said “I need to go to trial, and for sure in trial they will give me shared custody”. Praise the lord, I represent myself and I won my case. I wasted my money which is close to $5000 for nothing.

I consulted with Mr. Tortolero, via a recommendation from one of his colleagues from MD. Daniel provided great insight to my case since it is an interstate child case involving 4 different states. Very few lawyers have been able to give insight or even attempt to give insight into the matter, but Dan...iel Tortolero was different, he came up with several strategies of what steps I could take to help remedy the situation. I did not hire Daniel, since given the multitude of states involved, he was not located in the proper state for action. I view this as a good aspect of his character. This is so, since I have come across other lawyers who will gladly take the money and essentially just drag out any legal proceedings to deplete the client's retainer, even though they are not located or licensed in the proper state. From my experience with Mr. Tortolero, he does not do this. Overall, he is in no means a greedy man, but a man that will be quick to answer any phone calls, questions, and search for additional answers via his colleagues. I wish I had run across this man sooner to hire him, since my case has been going on for 4 years now.
