Thomas Brian Walsh

Late November in 2018, I was arrested in Prince William county and charged with 1st degree murder & use of a firearm in the commission of a murder & was facing 25 years to LIFE in prison. While Incarcerated I went though two different lawyers before I was given Mr. Thomas Walsh’s number from a friend... of a friend after he handled her case and got her charges completely dismissed. After meeting with my parents than me he was hired. Mr. Walsh came by and interviewed me in jail and started his own investigation on my case. Mr. Walsh got down in the streets and tracked down witnesses along side his investigator and where able to find witnesses , address and homes of incidents correlating to my cases investigation , witnesses that police nor detectives on the case never interviewed or investigated !! After a year of being incarcerated Mr. Walsh got me bond when there was almost no chance of bond considering my murder charge. After staying on bond for two years Mr. Walsh was prepared to go to trial and was looking forward to the trial as he was well prepared and confident in my defense. The Prosecution knew Mr. Walsh knew the case better than anyone, including the police and detectives. The case was concluded to the prosecution amending and reducing my murder charge to a lesser charge and offered me a no contest plea and time served for which I served 1 year before bond. Tomas Walsh is an amazing lawyer! and everyone that works along side him, they treated my family with respect and love during and after the case. If you have an issue as a sex offender, I recommend you call Tom Walsh. I was convicted of a sex offense that required annual registration as a nonviolent offender for 10 years. The offender law was changed ex post facto, years after my conviction and sentencing, arbitrarily requiring me to register ...every 90 days as a violent offender, and then again was changed requiring me to register for life without parole! I did so dutifully for years until I was referred to Mr. Walsh on a related issue. On our first meeting, I immediately realized he was experienced with offender law, and regarding my current and overall situation. He initially got me relief from a false registration violation, and then pressed on to petition the court to have my 90 day requirement reversed back to once a year registration. He is thorough and professional, and really put in the extra effort researching and moving the process through the court system. A court system that seemed unaware of how to deal with my petition! It seemed that he was opening the door for the first time in this legal area. I am very grateful that Mr. Walsh was so knowledgeable of the law, the court system, and so delectated to turning my circumstance around and relieving me from the enormous burden of every 90 day registration.
