HIRE!

If I could give more than five stars, I absolutely would. Working with Ronald E. Smith was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made during one of the most stressful periods of my life. From the moment I met him, I knew I was in the hands of someone who was not only incredibly knowledgeable and exp...erienced, but also deeply committed to fighting for his clients. Ron went above and beyond in every imaginable way—he was patient, thorough, honest, and relentless. He took the time to understand every detail of my case, kept me informed at every step, and always made me feel supported and reassured. It’s rare to find an attorney who combines such skill, compassion, and determination. Thanks to his hard work and advocacy, he achieved an outcome I didn’t even think was possible: he successfully reduced my DUI to a wet reckless and helped me avoid an interlock system entirely. This result was life-changing for me, and I am forever grateful for the level of care and effort he put into my case. If you are looking for an attorney who will truly fight for you, stand by you, and deliver exceptional results, look no further than Ronald E. Smith. He is a remarkable lawyer and an even better human being. I cannot recommend him highly enough.

AMAZING

I'm writing this in my car after my court case ecstatic as ever ! Mr. Smith really gave me results I didn't believe I'd see ! I had an improper lane change that resulted in an accident being COMPLETELY DROPPED ! We discussed possibly getting it down to failure to pay time and attention or some sort d...ue to my specific situation . I was on driving probation and any charge reported to the DMV would result in a reset ! I'm due to be off this august and I've been on probation for a year and three months so this case meant a lot to me! My record was also not in the best of shapes ! ( -10 ) I explained my concerns to him and he told me not to worry and we'd come up with something . BUT THIS WAS TOTALLY UNEXPECTED AND I WANTED TO CRY WHEN HE TOLD ME WHAT HE DID. I can't thank Mr. Smith and his friendly staff for getting me through this and lifting a heavy burden off my chest. I'm not the one to really write reviews but with this outcome, I felt obligated ! His prices are very reasonable and he's great to talk and get along with . If you have any traffic violations, he's your guy !!!!

Grateful to have on my side

Ron was referred to me by a friend when I got my first and only DUI. He was a calming force in a difficult time and helped to get my charges dropped and others reduced significantly. There couldn't have been a better outcome to my case and I owe it all to Mr. Smith. He is the man you want on your sid...e. He has years of experience, is respected by officials and is extremely knowledgable. I'm so grateful to have been referred to him and can not recommend him high enough. If you need a lawyer don't even bother looking to anyone else!

Whose Side is Mr. Smith on?

Hiring Mr. Smith was a mistake. I was charged with filing a false police report pertaining to a domestic dispute with my brother. During the first session, he was emphatic about how the police were probably lying, and he seemed to have a strategy in place. As the case proceeded, he started to ass...ign blame to me; he accused me of changing my story, and showed a lack of empathy (and none of the facts changed). It's as if after the retainer, his zeal for the case just disappeared over night. He was late to court, and he struck a poor plea bargain with prosecutors. The charge was amended to another Class 1 misdemeanor, and I got community service, and an arrest record that now cannot be expunged. At the day of trial, he said he thought he could win the case, but then qualified that by saying that "they really don't like you." He also acted as if the case didn't matter at all to him--he told me "it is your life." I began questioning whether he was on my side, or their side. Of course, instilling that type of fear in me compelled me to just reach a plea agreement, when in hindsight, this case should have gone to trial. And the prosecution had no evidence, and I have a spotless criminal record. Hire a lawyer that is willing to fight for you if you think the charges are without merit. There is too much at stake to hire someone that just wants to scare you into reaching a plea agreement with a zealous county prosecutor.

"I endorse this lawyer, having had the pleasure of knowing him for nearly 15 years. Ron Smith is a courthouse legend. He knows that law better than most lawyers, and is a lifelong student of American jurisprudence. Ron is a rare lawyer who studies the law not only for his job, but also because he is personally interested in it and enjoys discussing it on the highest intellectual level. He has an unsurpassed amount of instutional knowledge (how the courthouse runs, special programs for clients, tendencies of judges and prosecutors, etc.). Ron is very direct- unlike some lesser lawyers, Ron's manner is not to coddle and fret about appeasing feelings. Instead, he honestly lays out pertinent facts, issues, and arguments. Because he tells people what they NEED to hear (not what they want to hear), and given his 30+ YEARS experience fighting in the courtroom for his clients, Ron Smith is an attorney I would recommend to anyone."
