Gary Bernstein is an outstanding lawyer! He fought for me when I was wrongly accused and saved me from a calamity of injustice. I was unexpectedly arrested at my home on charges I knew nothing about for an incident in which I was not involved. Suddenly, I found myself in need of a criminal defens...e lawyer. I emailed Mr. Bernstein on the recommendation of a friend of a friend. Within minutes of receiving my email, he called me. When I spoke with him, he simultaneously made me aware of the serious nature of my situation and put me at ease with his unique blend of humor, legal knowledge, and direct actions. Later that evening, I emailed him all the information I had compiled about my case with a longer explanation of the situation. Again, within minutes, he called me ready with a plan of action. He seemed as offended with the injustice of it as my closest friends, and he used his own time and resources freely to help me. This was an amazing gift, not only because of the financial relief, but also because it broke the pressure of the situation’s unfairness. It was an incredible act that I think reflects Mr. Bernstein’s respect for the legal process, his passion for justice, and his compassion. A few weeks later, I got an unexpected text from Mr. Bernstein that the charges were being dropped. Mr. Bernstein told me to keep my eyes out for a letter from the court. I prayed and hoped, but to my chagrin, remained skeptical. It seemed too good to be true. But today, sure enough, I hold in my hands the papers from the court reading “dismissed.” Mr. Bernstein did it! The charges are dropped; a huge weight has lifted from my chest, and I can finally breath again. This insane situation is on the way to being resolved because of the diligent and generous work of Mr. Bernstein! Gary Bernstein was everything I could hope for in a lawyer. Gary is very professional, he will answer at all hours and give you advice on how you should act in and out of court. HIGHLY recommend! I think Gary Bernstein is the best lawyer I can imagine there is. I made a mistake that I didn’t even know was against the law - I pushed someone out of my way after he threatened my friends and me. I just wanted to get out of the situation and did not know that pushing is a 2nd degree assault. I mad...e a lot more problems for myself after the police came and was in a lot of legal trouble, facing a lot of jail time. When I was able to talk to Gary, he helped talk me down from my severe anxiety and let me know he was there to help and would do everything in his power to keep me out of jail. Even though he listened to me recount what happened, he warned me that he couldn’t make any comments until he saw body cam footage. He saw that I was telling the truth, which was still really bad. The most serious charge I faced was baseless, just like I had said. Gary immediately contacted the prosecutor and had that charge dropped. Even though I faced more serious charges, that was a huge relief. Gary was really upfront with me and firm which was good for me in that situation. I don’t think I would feel comfortable with a lawyer that was not so confident, realistic and commanding. He took charge of my future, and in the end, saved my life. Literally, my whole future would have been ruined. All of the most serious charges were dropped, to my shock and surprise. I just couldn't believe it. I got my second DUI on a Saturday, was released from jail Sunday morning, was in Gary’s office Monday afternoon. Two friends of mine (both with DUIs) recommended Gary to me. Out of all the attorneys I reached out to, Gary called me back first. Not only that. One of the other attorneys that got back t...o me said that Gary was the better choice. During the consultation, Gary was straight forward and quickly assessed that I had a drinking problem, was in a lot of trouble, but that I would be ok with him on my side.
