Outstanding Bankruptcy Attorney

David Portney represented and guided me through the process of a Chapter 13 bankruptcy which was later converted to Chapter 7. David knows the Maryland bankruptcy laws and court process thoroughly. All I had to do is bring in the requested paperwork and answer his questions as he input my responses a...nd quickly produced the documents used in the bankruptcy process. In addition, David is personable and compassionate helping to ease the anxiety I had at the onset and during the hearings. Two years after my initial Chapter 13 filing, I was diagnosed with leukemia and incurred mounting medical expenses. David immediately and swiftly converted the Chapter 13 to Chapter 7, all the while assuring me that everything is going to work out, and it has.

Thinking about filing for bankruptcy, call David Portney

I returned to Grossbart, Portney & Rosenberg because of previous legal experience with the firm. I walked into his office feeling rather downtrodden, and fretful that my case was too small for them to take. My initial feelings, however, were quickly dispersed. From the time, you arrive to his offi...ce you receive a polite greeting that puts you at ease. Attorney Portney represented me in a personal bankruptcy case, and he demonstrated the upmost respect for my personal situation while he prepared my case. Attorney Portney prepared me for my hearing by arranging for me the opportunity to witness the legal procedure for another person in a similar situation before it was my turn. It helped to lessen my fears, and allowed me to prepare to give concise answer to questions that the court official asked. “It’s about person relationships,” says Attorney Portney, and he is correct. He quickly gained my trust early on, and I witness his rapport with members of the bench. It made my situation less problematic, and eased my tensed feelings. Attorney Portney was clear about the process, and his fee was more than reasonable. I highly recommend Attorney Portney.

A Very Good Lawyer

While searching vigorously for an attorney, my husband and I decided to try the Law firm of Grossbart, Portney and Rosenberg. Our first meeting was with Mr. Grossbart himself. Mr. Portney then began handling our case. Mr. Portney was an excellent lawyer during our Chapter 13 ordeal. He never ma...de us feel like we were interrupting him but that we were important. He was always prompt in returning messages and always responded. He took the time to clearly explain everything that was going on. He explained the legal "jargons" in clear and precise layman terms and made sure we undestood what was going on. He did not hold phone conversations to explain, he took time out of his day to personally meet with us whenever we needed to speak with him. Because of our schedule, he even met with us on a Saturday! He provided recommendations, advice and was always a true professional. After dealing with a number of attorneys, we were extremely grateful for Mr. Portney. After our ordeal, we highly recommend this firm for their services, expertise and professionalism. Thank you Mr. Portney.
