Bankruptcy Case

I was in a bind due to being abandoned by my ex-husband and a divorce. I never recovered. My house was scheduled to be Foreclosed on and I went to the Federal Building in Baltimore to file bankruptcy. I was given a list of lawyers that could help me complete the process and this is how I met Attorney... Portney. He sat down with me and ironed out all of the information needed to complete the process as I had completed the bare minimum to create a stay on the foreclosure. Although it was very intrusive, Atty Portney assured me that this was basic information that was needed for the bankruptcy. I was unaware of how in depth the entire procedure was, but he was determined to set me up so that we could be on our way. In short, everything turned out fine and I will have my bankruptcy confirmed. It was as good as it could be providing the situation. I will be sure to recommend he and his team to anyone who requests an attorney specializing in bankruptcy. He is the best. Sincerely, Stephanie

I was provided a quick response, and specific citations to the law regarding my bankruptcy situation during the consultation. I would definetely recommend him if you need to file for bankruptcy or need advice for your situation.

Expectations exceeded!

My chapter 7 case could have had many unusual complications. David prepared me for them, but everything proceeded smoothly.. He kept me informed throughout the process, but really all the pressure was off once I retained him. What a relief! David exceeded my expectations, and I would highly recommend... him.

Got the job done

So after doing a little research to determine whether filing for bankruptcy would be right for me, I cam across Grossbart, Portney, & Rosenberg law firm. After having my meeting with David, I felt that much more confident in needing to file. He gave me a breakdown as to what was going to happen and i...ndeed it happened as he informed me. He was able to answer any questions that I had, but the fact that he was thorough in his explanation there were very few questions. The reason there are only 3 stars for responsive is that there was one occurrence where I left a message for him to call me, as he was assisting another client, but never got the return call. This time it wasn't imperative that I get it answered right away, so I waited until my hearing with the trustees to ask. He was able to answer then so it was no problem. The trustee hearing went smooth as I could imagine. I was actually shocked at how quickly it went. The one thing I can tell you, if you want it to go as smooth as it did for me, I advise you to be completely and totally honest. It's just like t.v., you leave your lawyer uninformed and they are surprised by something you failed to mention it will go bad for you. Really bad!! I don't plan on having to revisit this course of action in the future, but if by some chance I do I know I will utilize David and his law firm again. I also would not hesitate in referring them to others.
