Accessible, Informative, Honest, Persevering, Creative, Committed - Great lawyer!

Life knocked me to my knees last year and David Portney extended his hand in the form of knowledge and legal expertise and lifted me back up. My husband of 22 years abandoned our family leaving me and our four children devastated and under a mountain of debt. When I walked into the offices of Grossba...rt, Portney & Rosenberg, our home was in foreclosure and we were in danger of losing it, our only vehicle, and the only stability to which we were desperately clinging. After accessing my situation, I was advised to file Chapter 13. It was not an easy decision or process and I have learned much along the way. I received honest evaluations of my changing financial circumstances along with tough advice when needed. As a result, I was able to hold onto our home and car. I don't know what I would've done without David Portney. Most, if not all, my interactions were directly with the attorneys. David always looked me in the eye and gave it to me straight, so to speak, telling me what I needed to hear as opposed to what he thought I wanted to hear. It was refreshing. Thank you gentlemen for helping me obtain a much needed legal/financial reprieve.

David Portney is awesome!

I was so stressed and anxious about having to file a bankruptcy, but David Portney was so affable and knowledgeable, I was put at ease during my initial visit. He explained the entire process to me, and patiently answered any questions I had. And thankfully, he made it clear to me that I was not th...e only person about to embark on a journey into the 'world of bankruptcy'. The entire process was over in a short amount of time, and I'll always be grateful to Mr Portney for his knowledge and help. I could not have gone through this without him!

IMPRESSIVE

IMPRESSIVE! The Webster's Concise Dictionary meaning of Impressive is "one of awe or admiration". This is the IMPRESSION left with me after my experience with Attorney David N. Portney. I selected Attorney Portney from the Lawyers Referral on the internet. So I was very unsure if I had made the right... decision. Being one who asked a lot of questions, Atty. Portney was very patient with me, taking his time an answering all my questions, fears on a layman level. That a 6 grader could understand. I did not understand all the planning, preparation, document gathering until we had our first hearing. Then I know beyond any questions that I had made the right decision. While waiting for my Hearing I watch other Attorneys being eaten alive by the Trustee for everything from not having all the documentation in, to not giving all the information the their clients. I witness Hearing lasting as long as 30 - 45 minutes. My hearing lasted 7 minutes. Attorney had everything in order, all the proper documentation. And by the Trustee comments, he had, had Attorney Portney before and expected nothing less. YES, IMPRESSIVE. I highly recommend Attorney David N Portney.

Mr. Portney Saved My Financial Future!!!

I came to Groossbart, Portney, and Rosenberg because I was getting sued and wanted to look into my options. I am one of the most skeptical, paranoid people you will ever meet. I was lucky enough to meet with Mr. Portney. A straight to the point, very look under every stone kind of lawyer. That's ...what you want, someone who will anticipate all outcomes and lay them out for you. That is exactly what Mr. Portney did for me. After our first meeting I left with my head on backwards because all of the info he gave me but that was a good thing. Any questions I asked got answered fast and correctly. He made me feel very comfortable. My trustee meeting and bankruptcy went extremely smooth. I have already recommend Grossbart, Portney, and Rosenberg to friends. I will be using them again if\and when the need arises. I can't stress to you how good they are. All I can tell you is that if they practice in the area you need help, you would be doing yourself an injustice if you didn't contact them first and let them work for you.
