At the Law Firm of Van T. Doan, LLC, our practice is focused on immigration law and family law. We have a comprehensive understanding of the complex nature of immigration law and the implications that may arise from emotionally charged domestic matters. The firm is routinely called upon to either consult or handle immigration matters where the parties may be separated or going through a high-conflict divorce. We also frequently receive referrals from domestic law attorneys where one of the parties is a foreign national and concerns have been raised regarding lawful status, child custody and visitation, and domestic violence.
As a certified mediator and collaborative law practitioner, I believe in negotiation and that eventually, calmer heads will prevail. However, when the situation demands immediate action such as when a child has been removed from the home without notice or consent, I have successfully petitioned for the Court to take action for the safe return of the child.
