Biography
I am an employment lawyer. I represent employees and counsel small businesses in workplace disputes relating to the rate, method, and sufficiency of employee compensation.
I focus my practice on litigating claims wherein the central questions are: (1) determinations of status or classification as employee or independent contractor; (2) questions of employee classification as exempt or not exempt for purposes of Federal and State overtime compensation requirements; and (3) disputes as to owed or unpaid wages and/or commissions.
In my career as an attorney, I have litigated several hundred Federal and State employment law claims including Class Actions and Collective Actions.
I am an active member of the National Employment Lawyers Association, Maryland Employment Lawyers Association, and the Metropolitan Washington Employment Lawyers Association. I am also co-chair of the Employment Law Section of the Bar Association of Montgomery County, Maryland.
