Marjorie G. DiLima, a Rockville and Bethesda family lawyer, was admitted to the Maryland Bar in 1995, the Court of Appeals of Maryland in 1995, the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland in 1996, and the U.S. Tax Court in 2000. She received her J.D. from Hamline School of Law, graduating cum laude, in 1994 along with her M.B.A. from St. Thomas University in 1994; and her LL.M. in Taxation (Masters in Law) from Georgetown University School of Law in 1995.
Marjorie is a member of the Montgomery County, Maryland State, and Women’s Bar Associations. Marjorie is in her second year serving on the Family Juvenile Law Section Council for the State of Marylandand heads the Rules sub-committee. Marjorie served on the Executive Committee of the Montgomery County Bar Association for three separate terms and currently serves on the Bench Bar Committee for Montgomery County. Marjorie is Past President and currently a Bencher (lifetime position) in the American Inns of Court in the Montgomery County Chapter. Marjorie also participates in Peer Review Panels for the Attorney Grievance Commission of Maryland.
Marjorie is a board member of Collaborative Divorce Associates (CDA), which offers the process of collaborative divorce as an alternative to litigation. Marjorie is also a Certified Mediator for all family law issues, including custody and financial matters, and serves as a Best Interest Attorney for minor children.
Marjorie is currently teaching Family Law to Paralegal Studies students as an adjunct professor at Montgomery College.
