I am a lawyer and law professor with over 15 years of experience in the legal profession. I primarily operate a pro bono practice, assisting individuals in the areas of employment discrimination, civil rights, criminal law, sentencing, and addiction.
With respect to work experience, I have held positions at the Office of the Maryland Attorney General, Supreme Court of the United States, the U.S. Sentencing Commission, the U.S. Department of Education, the U.S. District Court, and the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights. I am an elected member in the Council on Foreign Relations and was elected into the Order of the Coif.
I am an active member of the Maryland State Bar Association ("MSBA"), where I sit on several committees, including the Strategic Vision Committee and the editorial board of the MSBA's publications. I serve on the Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse Advisory Council in Montgomery County, volunteer with my local fire department in Montgomery County, am a member of the C&O Canal Trust's William O. Douglas Society, and serve on the Board of Trustees of a Sikh temple in Silver Spring that my late father helped establish.

I was born and raised in Maryland, attended public schools in Maryland, and am proud to call Maryland my home.
