Adam Lang Van Grack

also known as Adam Van Grack, Adam L. Van Grack

About me

Adam Van Grack has had significant experience assisting individuals, corporations, small businesses, and nonprofits on a broad range of legal problems in trial courts and on appeals.  Specifically, in appeals and in trial courts, Adam has extensive experience in civil litigation, general litigation, corporate law, real estate law, nonprofit law, outdoor recreation law, and legal ethics.  As a native Washingtonian who attended Richard Montgomery High School, Adam regularly counsels numerous Maryland and Washington, DC businesses and individuals on various corporate and legal matters on an ongoing basis.

Adam’s litigation and appeals practice addresses a broad range of civil litigation issues, including contract disputes, financial disputes, real estate matters, environmental law, technology disputes, securities fraud, bankruptcy matters, liability problems, toxic torts, and outdoor recreation matters.  Adam regularly and effectively negotiates settlements of these same types of civil disputes.

Adam also has an extensive expertise in legal ethics and professional responsibility.  Adam has served as an expert witness on Legal Ethics and Professional Responsibility in the Circuit Court of Maryland, and he currently serves on the Montgomery County Bar Association’s Legal Ethics Committee.  Adam was also appointed by the Governor of Maryland to a commission to provide advice regarding juvenile justice issues.  If you have a problem related to legal ethics or legal malpractice, Adam can help.

Adam is also active in the paddling and outdoor recreation community, and one of his passions is providing legal services to outdoor/sporting entities and champion athletes.  Adam has spent the last few decades on the executive boards of multiple organizations that focus on outdoor recreation, paddling, and environmental conservation.  Adam regularly counsels clients on outdoor sports and recreation issues, such as contracts, waivers, permits, liability, and property concerns.

Adam has also been appointed a Professor with a title of Senior Lecturer at Washington University in St. Louis teaching real estate, natural resources, and environmental law.
