Biography
James E. Farmer is the managing partner of Farmer & Klopfer and a highly regarded personal injury and criminal defense attorney serving Waldorf and communities throughout Southern Maryland. Following in the footsteps of his father, who founded the firm in 1978, Mr. Farmer has helped expand the practice into one of the region’s largest and most respected law firms. He has handled hundreds of cases involving serious motor vehicle accidents, wrongful death, catastrophic injuries, DUI charges, violent crimes, drug offenses, and other complex legal matters. His record includes numerous substantial settlements and verdicts, including recoveries exceeding $1 million.
Mr. Farmer earned his bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and his Juris Doctor from the University of Baltimore School of Law. His education also included international studies at the University of Cambridge and the University of Aberdeen School of Law. Admitted to practice in Maryland, Washington, D.C., and the United States District Court for the District of Maryland, he has received recognition from Super Lawyers, Elite Lawyer, The National Trial Lawyers, and other legal organizations. Mr. Farmer is also committed to serving his community through pro bono work and programs such as the Family Recovery Court Program.

The judge I had couldve really layed down the hammer on me but James worked his magic and did a incredible job.
