This is my second time hiring Hayden. He helped me with my divorce case about six years ago, and we were able to settle a long hard custody/support case this month (April 2019). I hired Hayden to represent my Divorce and Custody pleadings. He set the right tone early in the process by carefully listening to the outcomes I desired. He then did a great job explaining what issues I should prioritize and what were reasonable timelines for resolution. The custody negotiations we...re complex and I stood to lose a lot of ground and financial resources if the negotiations turned negative and Hayden expertly handled the process such that we totally avoided a negative outcome. His wise counsel meant we reached a custody and separation agreement that met all my needs and which then laid the groundwork for completion of the divorce proceedings in due time. We had to change plans when the time came to file the divorce as the other party changed their representation and location, introducing great uncertainty and potentially great cost into the process and again, Hayden displayed great professionalism by always laying out clear, practical alternatives we could use, which avoided me making emotional decisions that would ultimately have been to my disadvantage. His attention to detail also caught a lot of documentation errors before they would have impacted the timelines/costs of our filings. Finally, it was a pleasant surprise when I got a message from him that our pleadings had been entered by the judge and this phase of the ordeal was over. Hayden had succeeded in getting this process fully resolved about 3 weeks ahead of our original timelines and bearing in mind that this process took well over 9 months, I would say he gave me very reliable counsel from the very onset of our relationship. Hayden did a great job handling my visitation case. He was able to quickly answer my questions and provide some sound advice as I renegotiated my visitation plan. Despite some rather hostile communication from the other party he was able to guide this case forward and helped develop a good plan. H...e took the time to understand my desires and helped me to see several paths forward. He executed required court actions quickly, ensuring my rights were protected. I really appreciated that since I was living outside of Virginia. While we prepared to go to court, he kept the lines of communication open with the other party and this eventually resulted in a plan agreed upon by both parties.
