Mark Lawrence Earley Sr.

I picked out my lawyer randomly as I live across the country. I had no idea if I had a good lawyer or not. I received a DUI in Virginia and had to travel to go to court. I was horrified and traumatized by the whole experience. Mark was amazing and made me feel comfortable right away. He knew wha...t he was doing and cared about me as a humana being and what this might do to my life. He got the charges reduced and even if he hadn't I am confident he would have put everything he had into it.

Like anyone searching for a DUI lawyer, your mailbox is flooded with offers of legal representation immediately following your charge. I interviewed many lawyers for my case and was underwhelmed by most all of them and overwhelmed at their fees; until I contacted Mr. Mark Earley. At consultation, ...he was very straight forward and didn’t tell me what I wanted to hear, but what I was legally facing and how much he would charge me. The reality of a DUI is laws are strict in Virginia [and rightfully so] and it is costly. He is a very experienced lawyer who I immediately felt confident in and comfortable with. His fee schedule was clear and did not lend the opportunity to nickel and dime me to death, which many of the other lawyers would have done. My case was somewhat complicated, but with his experience and competency in the DUI laws and science and his knowledge of the NHTSA instructions and procedures governing proper field sobriety testing and breathalyzer machine, he accurately projected how my case would likely to proceed. At discovery, he devised a clear plan of action, I agreed, and he guided me through the process. My case was dispositioned with a much lesser charge and everything went exactly as he said it would. He prepared me well enough that I was granted my restricted driver’s license at my court appearance, which saved me a lot of time and money later. It was evident he is well respected in the courtroom and he is always respectful to me. I can't thank him enough for helping me put this legal matter behind me. I have had the unfortunate experience of having to hire a criminal defense attorney 3 or 4 times now and hiring Mark Earley in my recent case was the best decision I have made. The best thing about Earley is his compas...sionate and communicable persona. He was always available when I would call or text him and would respond to me within the hour. Because of this narrow defeat before his exit from the political sphere I knew that Mark was invested in his work out of passion for helping others. I can’t stress enough how selfless Earley appeared to me. He is more than accomplished as a lawyer and is a genuine kind human being. Just do a little bit of research and you will find out that after his unceremonious exit from politics Earley did not retreat from the public light, but rather followed a life path that reveals a narrative that could adequately describe Mark as kind hearted Christian who values helping others of all else. I learned that in undergrad he double majored in law and religion, is the father of SIX children, went on a 2 year missionary trip in Manila after college, and was president of the Prison Fellowship for 10 years. His life history is of someone with empathy for other people and this personality is displayed in his relationship with his clients. This was invaluable to me during the prolonged legal process in which I was facing convictions on two felony distribution charges caring possible penitentiary time. At the end of the day my case was null processed on both counts, granting me a better outcome than I could have imagined. Mark did not create this outcome out of thin air, but he did provide me with the proper and necessary legal counsel that resulted in this surprising outcome. Three days after my case was resolved Earley was kind and caring enough to give me a call to check on how I was doing in the aftermath of my 6 month case. I have never ever had an attorney contact me after I saw them in court so this was a pleasant surprise for me. I hope anyone reading this will take into account my praise but also my honest take on the man. Don’t hesitate to hire Mr. Earley if you are charged with a crime. You don’t want to mess around with your life and Mark will do the same. Thanks again Mark.
