Thank you

I had almost given up on my EEOC case until I reached out to Attorney Mahoney, and he promptly responded to my consult request at 8 p.m. He thanked me for my service to our country. He said his firm would be honored to represent me. I could not believe it. My discovery was ending in approximately 2... weeks, yet he was still willing to consult on my case. During our consultation, Attorney Mahoney was more than generous with his time. His consultation was well over an hour and a half with no mention of additional fees for going over my case. He was personable, empathetic and had a unique way of making me relax under such stressful circumstances. He presented my options and was forthcoming. He was willing to step into a case that was so poorly handled and unsure if it was even salvageable. I appreciated his honesty and knew this firm was my last hope. All I can say is if you need help with a federal agency case, please do not waste your time or money on any other attorney. You must call this firm. Attorney McEntire and Attorney Mahoney are well versed in federal employment law. Attorney McEntire has remained focused on meeting discovery deadlines and filing motions. I am confident that they are looking out for my best interests and cannot thank them enough for guiding me through this difficult process. Although I do not have a conclusion to my case, I am now confident that I have two attorneys who are looking out for my best interest.

Impressive!

Talking with John Mahoney was more impressive than I had imagined it could be. My consultation felt as though I had found the perfect fit for my EEO case and none of the previous consultations I had with other firms felt that way. He is a compassionate professional that knows the law. I learned far m...ore from him than I had from 3 other attorneys combined. I knew he was who I needed and was meant to represent me. I am so inspired and grateful.

Candid, Knowledgeable Counsel

I've never had any trouble in my federal service until I transferred to an organization with mediocre leadership and arbitrary performance standards. I was rather shocked to receive a Notice of Proposed Removal via mail when I was hospitalized for a medical condition incurred during military service.... I knew I needed an attorney with experience in federal employment law due to the complexity and differences between private sector and government employment. I had searched for representation and tried to tell my side of the story to other law firms only to be met with indifference and told I needed to pay an $8000 retainer to have them even consider taking my case. I was very fortunate to find Mr. Mahoney's firm. I was given a free consultation from Mr. Mahoney himself (rather than an office manager) and he took the time to listen and consider the merits of my case. Like many federal employees, I'm not wealthy and was relieved to hear that the firm's initial retainer fee was around $3000 which was less than half of what other firms wanted and gave me the comfort to know I could at least be able to afford some representation. Mr. Mahoney's firm was able to prevent my Agency from illegally firing me, force the Agency to hold the supervisor accountable for their actions, and minimize their attempts to retaliate against me for exposing a supervisor's malfeasance." Firm Partner Melissa Lolotai exemplifies the term 'Counsel' in the highest and noblest sense of the word. Ms. Lolotai was able to expertly cut through my Agency's falsifications and gross inconsistencies and explain the legalities of every aspect and phase of my case. I was able to take comfort in the fact that I had a highly experienced and sharp attorney to speak on my behalf so I could focus on trying to get healthy and not worrying about being subject to an illegal Notice of Proposed Removal and later was able to shield me from almost all of my Agency's brutal attempts to retaliate against me, to include a Proposed 30 Day Suspension for exposing Agency malfeasance. Ms. Lolotai's arguments were so strong that Agency's Attorney was in the words of the Agency, "unresponsive for requests for information" for well over 3 months and the GS-15 Deciding Official opting to retire and send the decision higher rather than issuing a decision. Ms. Lolotai was extremely caring and compassionate and helped me keep my sanity even as the Agency attempted to gaslight me for several months and retaliate. Ms. Lolotai was able to also keep my Agency's EEO office honest when I filed my EEO complaint and helped me expose my senior leadership's retaliatory animus and deceptions.

Much appreciated!!

I want to thank my Mahoney Firm lawyer, Melissa Lolotai, Esq., for saving my job too. She was very good at allowing me to do the leg work which helped me financially. She was also good at focusing on my case while I was having an emotional melt down. Her writing skills at putting everything togeth...er left me im awe. Additionally, to leave me at a further disadvantage my employer chose the two Christmas weeks to start the count down clock ticking. A time when most people are on vacation. But your firm took it on and met the deadline. I was given additional advice from my lawyer to file an EEO and whistlebowers retaliation complaint with the OSC which I have started. This entire ordeal has been forever changing in my life. I am still detailed and not placed into a full time position so I am still living the repercussions of their false accusations. It was nice to finally breath knowing I had a pay check ahead of me. For the past year I have lived every day in fear. Not knowing what their claims would be and when I was going to get their wrath was unnerving on a daily basis. I was an emotional wreck for the past year and still struggle daily with the humiliations. However, I have to remind myself that it could have turned out worse if it wasn’t for your firms help.
