I have to admit I'm probably somewhat of a "difficult" client, and also tend to get excited and probably consumed too much of his time on relatively minor matters. However, he responded excellently, and even helped me manage my anxieties--do psychologists make as much as lawyers?? I also appreciate...d that he wanted to "take the high road" and would even settle me down if I wanted to "retaliate" by saying we could do that, but it wouldn't be the right thing--let the other party do the nasties, but we will be straightforward and not use the law to manipulate. For example, my ex made a demand that I have a psychological examination (I think someone told her if I could be proclaimed medically incompetent, she would get control over me, and thus all assets), and it wasn't sufficient with my PCP (who gave me one too, and I got a good report), but had to see a neurologist. Both doctors were puzzled as to "why." My reaction seeing she would probably do worse on them, was to suggest we require the same of her, and Achille advised strongly against it--not needed, and emotional fighting of that sort was non productive. In all, my experience was very positive and I appreciated it, even when he had to "yell" at me ! ! ! That is in contrast to my late first wife's experience--she had worked for a while for 4 different lawyers, and she said they were all crooked, and 2 of them became judges!!! Doesn't inspire confidence in the legal system!!! So you can see I was very happy to find an excellent example of the opposite! Thank you very much! ps I feel a bit sorry for my ex's lawyers. She didn't really cooperate well with them, but her nature was to blame others when things went wrong and would probably give them bad reviews, even if they were good, for they didn't do exactly everything she wanted.
