A person injured by the carelessness of another may have a responsiblity to pay for all of the consequences necessary to restore the damage, fix what can be fixed and compensate for injury. Leaving a dangerous condition on property to trip the unsuspecting; a car with a dangerous condition causuing an injury; or a poorly designed product causing an injury, are all examples of carelessness that can lead to injury requiring compensation. I take these cases on a contingent fee basis.

Delaware's new car Lemon Law permits a consumer to cancel the sale of, or obtain a comparable replacement vehicle if a substantial problem has been subject to repair 4 times or for 30 days and is still not fixed. A number of my cases and trials resulted in reported decisions of the Superior and Supreme courts of the State, as wll as federal District Court. As a former criminal prosecutor, I have been called upon to investigate and prosecute alleged violations of county government employee ethics codes in Delaware and Maryland. I have written the first subpoenas used by these counties for ethics violations, and prosecuted the first cases to ethics commissions in these matters.
