A couple of years back I happened to come across Attorney Emkey's Office after coming out of the bail bondsman office near The Berks County Courthouse. Well, I must say it was my lucky day. My son, Gary, was in trouble for crimes associated with Heroin Addiction. Heroin Addiction for those who ...do not know first hand steals one's soul and subjects the user with anti-social behavior that focuses on one thing: Getting the next FIX. And what it does to the family is absolute pure hell with all the possibilities coming into play like losing your son, etc. I can go on and on, but the purpose of this review is to focus on Dan Emkey. My wife and I communicated with Dan many times about my son's criminal problems and was in court with him and my son on every occasion. We were amazed at Dan's comittment to my son's case. (I can tell you being in the courtroom watching other cases the lawyers did not seem to be that committed.) He cared about my son and was extremely honest with us and kept us informed every step of the way. Today, Gary has been drug free for approximately a year and one half and is on 4 years probation -- after many court dates and appearances in 3 counties, I think that is pretty dag-on good! This is the bottom line, Dan Emkey is a professional attorney with all the traits of a good human being. He cares about his clients and his community. And, he will turn every stone to see to it that his clients get a fair shake. Again, he cares.................. My son, Gary, is doing well working hard and bonding with his son. My wife and I are very proud of him and extremely thankful that I had a lucky day walking into Dan Emkey's Office. All the folks in Dan's office were truly professionals and approachable..... They all cared! What a great Guy and we would feel the same way if things did not turn out the way they did.......

He did exactly what I would never have been able to do. Speaking with the judge, he got me off without any ramifications. The money spent to hire him was well worth it, because I saved money off my car insurance in the long run, and that would have been even if I hadn't been refunded for both tickets.... I would definitely recommend him, if you're on the fence about hiring an attorney (like I was), it is worth the money in the end.
