I first met with Mr. Emkey in 2014 for my daughters DUI. I had scheduled to meet 4 lawyers that day. Not knowing anything about obtaining a lawyer we first met with a different lawyer who was located in Wyomissing. This other lawyer had a nice office in one of the nice business centers. I felt th...e location might make him a better lawyer and he probably handled cases like mine "white collar workers" and I wouldn't feel so embarrassed. How wrong I was about that. He was very condescending. I walked out of there knowing that he was not for us. Mr. Emkey was the third lawyer we met with that day and the last. The office atmosphere was very nice and the assistant that greeted us was very kind. Mr Emkey was professional and explained everything. I didn't feel rushed and I felt like my daughters case was as important as any other case he was working on that day. Mr. Emkey kept me up to date with the case. Phone messages where answered within hours. He was able to get the ARD program for my daughter and eventually her case was exonerated. In 2018 I needed a lawyer for another family member. Embarrassing as it was and without hesitation I called Mr. Emkey. He had the same empathy for my other family member and kept us up to date as the case went on. Calls where returned quickly. The outcome of the case was better then expected. Hopefully I will never need a lawyer again. But if I do Mr. Emkey is the one I will be calling.
