My son and I met Angela in February, she was referred to us. My son wanted his last name changed before he graduated HS. His dad walked out when he was 8, and my son just wanted a new start after graduation. Our court date was in March, but then Covid-19 hit Philadelphia and everything shut down. Kno...wing that the courts were closed my son was not only upset about no HS graduation but the name was eating at him. But in late May we got a letter from Angela, I just assumed it was an update which she kept us well informed as the months passed. But to our surprised it was a signed Order by a Judge that his name had changed (during Covid). Angela knew how important it was to my son to have that done before he graduated and she got it done! We are so greatful for her hard work. Thank you so much Angela!!!

We worked with Angela to put together a donor contract as we began the process of making a family. We initially tried to do this with template contracts, but this aspect of the law is very complicated, especially if you happen to be gay. Angela did an amazing job of guiding us. The contract she wrote... was brilliant and thorough (and believe me, I never imagined I would call a contract brilliant). She has helped us look further down the road at all the things we will need to do to have legal stability and to ensure our rights as a family. I'm so glad that Angela is our lawyer; I can't imagine how difficult and confusing this process would have been without her. Or rather, I can imagine how hard it would have been and, by contrast, with Angela it has been very clear and approachable. I can't recommend her highly enough.

Angela Giampolo has provided family law and estate planning services for me since 2012. I first met her through her pro bono work in the Philly LGBT community. Her warmth, compassion and intelligence helped me in responding to a special needs situation for a family member through revising my will and beneficiary designations.. She spent extra time developing a mental health POA that was fine-tuned to my needs.
