Based on other previous people review I thought I was maybe overthinking. But I also had a case where it was a false background check for a position. Which lead to a lawsuit for suing a background check company. The settlement was for 20k I only received 6k and he walked away with 14k . I have always... felt something wasn't right about this. Know I see others have felt the same way.

How about this one? The settlement was 22K. I got 4K and he/his firm got 17K. Does that sound fair? They lured you into thinking that you may get 50/50 but in the end, they tackle you blindly and you don't even know if it's coming from your left or right. They know the law and you don't so what ...are you supposed to do other than to file a complaint with the board.

I have the same story as the others. Luckily I saw these reviews before I continued to sign agreements to let him take so much of a cut without explanation. Asked for bills and have heard nothing for two months. The contract says what the agreed amount is, but yet he is asking for 80% - 90%. Pl...ease everyone read the contract. Negotiate what his cut will be. Don't let him have TWO OPTIONS which is to take a percentage OR charge hourly fees. It needs to be one or the other. I am trying to fight this now. I am taking his silence as an attempt to sabotage my case and have the defendants withdraw their settlement offers. He is supposed to be working for me and now I have to do MORE work.
