Maureen Callahan Repetto

Maureen was referred to me by a friend. I should have read the bad reviews before I hired instead. It was a nightmare from the start. She only has one paralegal who types up the paper work and makes mistakes and asks you to proofread them for her. Charges you for those emails back and forth to correc...t her mistakes. The consultation call with Maureen sounded like she was drunk. She forgot the first consultation appointment, by the way. Four months into the case I had to fire her and find someone else to take over. Maureen was incompetent, unorganized, and had no empathy at all. She filed paperwork wrong with the courts and I had to refile so the retainer I paid was for nothing. I was told I could sue her for malpractice but you try to find a lawyer who will go against another lawyer. Doesn't happen unless there's tons of money in it for them. Domestic relations kept me up to date about my case more than she did. Do not hire!

Maureen is VERY difficult to get a hold of, she rarely returns your call, she doesn't seem to care about getting the job done (just getting paid). I gave her the benefit of the doubt many times and she still disappointed me each and every time. Her office is very unorganized, she takes on too many ca...ses, and she only has one secretary to handle everything. She has hurt my case in so many ways and I will never go back to her if I need a lawyer in the future. I'd suggest looking elsewhere for a lawyer because I find her to be extremely incompetent.
