Prior to launching Duerr Law P.C., Chris was an attorney for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania for 19 years. In this capacity, he represented and successfully litigated eminent domain, land use and zoning cases, as well as employment and license suspension cases as in-house counsel for the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation. Before that, he was with large Philadelphia area law firms where he gained a deep understanding and unique perspective in a broad range of legal matters.
Chris was a Commissioner on the Upper Dublin Planning Commission for seven years reviewing submissions for conformity with local and state ordinances In addition, Chris participated in the review and updating of the Upper Dublin Stormwater Management, Zoning and Subdivision and Land Development Ordinances. He also contributed to the development of the first Upper Dublin Comprehensive Plan.

This was a partial taking of which impacted an industrial zoned parcel on the PennDOT Germantown Pike Connector project in Collegeville, PA . A temporary construction easement required the demolition of partially rehabbed colonial structure. We were able to have the clients business moved, paid for materials and equipment and obtain a significant increase in the damages.

This was a partial taking of industrial land adjoining Interstate 95 in the City of Philadelphia. The client uses the area as a storage area for construction materials. We were able to secure a substantial settlement. In addition to the condemnation matter we are assisting the client in purchasing surplus land owned by the City of Philadelphia to replace that lost in the taking.
