Biography
Chris brings a solid business approach to his clients, helping them to successfully navigate even the most complex of legal issues. He takes the time to get to know his clients, providing practical and creative solutions in the areas of eminent domain, real estate, estate planning, business counsel and associated litigation.
Prior to launching Duerr Law P.C., Chris was an attorney for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania for 19 years. In this capacity, he represented and successfully litigated eminent domain, land use and zoning cases, as well as employment and license suspension cases as in-house counsel for the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation. Before that, he was with large Philadelphia area law firms where he gained a deep understanding and unique perspective in a broad range of legal matters.
Chris was a Commissioner on the Upper Dublin Planning Commission for seven years reviewing submissions for conformity with local and state ordinances In addition, Chris participated in the review and updating of the Upper Dublin Stormwater Management, Zoning and Subdivision and Land Development Ordinances. He also contributed to the development of the first Upper Dublin Comprehensive Plan.

We were able to negotiate and reach an acceptable resolution with PennDOT, obtain an increase in the offer and save litigation costs. Replied last March 15, 2023This was a very complicated substantial partial taking of busy commercial property along Rt 322 in Delaware County. PennDOT was taking a large part of the parking for this facility outright and for a temporary construction easement lasting 3 years. Replied last May 19, 2022This was a total taking by PennDOT of a commercial property along State Route 322 in Delaware County. We filed for a Board of Viewers which forced PennDOT to obtain a new appraisal of the property. The new appraisal lead to PennDOT increasing their offer by more than 100%.
