Assault and Drug charges

Mrs. Marr was an exceptional attorney, she is very familiar and connected with many of her legal counterparts (Judges, other attorneys, District Attorneys, Drug & Alcohol program directors, and doctors, etc.). When I hired her I was facing charges of assault and various drug charges, in a short perio...d of time she was easily able to get them lowered to misdemeanors, I went from facing time in prison to having 1-year probation thanks to her. Definitely recommend her for any type of legal case one may find themselves in,

Gail Marr, A Diligent, Hard-working Denfense Attorney

Gail is a thorugh defense attorney. Spoke honestly and straightforward when discussing my case. I could see she is confident in the courtroom. I followed her direction. I could tell she is knowledgable of the judiciary system. With her willingness to contact my proper health care and court official ...gave me reassurance I was in good hands during a dark and confusing time. I am thankful of her defense. Would recommend her to anyone that found themselves in a binding situation. I couldn't ask for a better, more efficient attorney!

"Hands down"Gail is no joke

Gail is very professional..She is right to the point and knows the law.Was facing 3 felonies,Gail was able to make a deal with the DA. At the end of the day yes it cost me a couple dollars. But I have my freedom and nothing on my record. Honestly I was sweating bullets for 4 weeks til my prelim. Her p...aralegal Ann in the office 5 stars as well, she reassured me that Gail is good at what she does.I was still skeptical til about 10 mins at the hearing and after meeting with her and going over everything she went to work and within a hour . I was walking out of the court room a free man . Anyone who needs representation,I would very highly recommend Gail and her company. Do Not settle for a attorney just because he or she is $500 cheaper .Gail is no joke and knows what she is doing and well know in allentown.thanks again Marr and Associates......... forever grateful...

Gail Marr - Knows the law and the system and how to help you.

I had an accident while driving under the influence. Many people do it. It happens much more often than it should. People become complacent or believe they have better control than the rest of the people. I've become much more aware of how often it happens since the incident. At the time, I pani...cked and left the scene (the car could not be driven) and was missing for several hours. A search team was dispatched but they did not find me. After several hours I turned myself in. They issued a field sobriety test and took me in for bloodwork. The results were lower than 0.08, but they back-calculated and extrapolated my BAC to the highest level at the time of the accident. The charges were filed and I was notified that I had to appear in court. I was inundated with letters from all the local lawyers anxiously courting me for business. I suspect that some accidentally reached the mailboxes of my nearby neighbors. If you are reading this, you are probably familiar with the level to which this suspected embarrassment can compound your already terrorized psychological welfare. I chose Gail from the assortment of would-be representatives because her letter came with a book that explained a lot about the process in which I would soon be involved yet was lacking in clarity via incessant searches of the internet (much like you now) for wisdom and the answer to my prayers. Much as I hoped it was all a dream and that I would wake to return to my life as if nothing had happened, something was fighting to prevent me from doing so. I was shattered and spent many nights crying (I'm a pretty big guy and a father and husband and professionally employed). Many times I felt like my life was over and I had ruined what had been so underappreciated before. Gail came through for me on several occasions, talking me through what the reality was and helping to understand what to expect and how to put things in their proper perspective. She prepared me for the first hearing at the magistrate. We arrived early and waited for the police officer to arrive. Immediately, Gail took the officer aside and had a private conversation with him, then called the district attorney and talk to her, and then had the police officer talk to her. When we entered the courtroom, Gail proposed that I be allowed to apply for ARD and that she had already been authorized to reduce the charge to a lower level. The fleeing the accident charge remained, but it was obvious that the judge was upset at reducing the charge. This was the first hearing. Subsequently, another hearing was set to see the D.A. At this hearing, Gail was with me continually between listening to the other cases and negotiating my case with the assistant D.A. All of the other defendants who were represented by other attorneys felt lost and left on their own. Gail kept telling me what was going on and what would happen next. Everyone else was listening in to try to make sense out of their own situation, wishing their layer was there to explain. By the end, Gail had negotiated to the lowest charge and removed the fleeing charge completely. When the judge took the case, she made a final request to remove loss of drivers license and succeeded. In the end, I paid my fines, took a dui course, had a psych evaluation, remained on probation for 6 months, and thanked my lucky stars that I made it through. The only thing that remained was the record of the arrest. I believe it was 30 days later that the expungement process was begun. There were some issues that required Gail to intervene in what was supposed to be an automatic process, but she handled everything perfectly. In the end there was no record of any incident. I have even had background checks (I have even seen them w my own eyes) and they were clean. I can't tank Gail enough for her hard work, expertise, and availability at such a vulnerable time in my life. I learned a lot but never would have made w/o Gail. Go with Gail.

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
