He is an awesome lawyer.

I really don't even know where to start about when I first met and then hired Raymond Lahoud for help with my immigration problem. See, when I first came to him, I was already in front of a deportation court. Actually, it was my family that first met with him because I was in mandatory immigration d...etention in York, Pennsylvania. The met him in Easton and the next day, he was out to York, visiting with me, going over the case, going over our strong points, weak points and, was just straight up honest then and throughout the entire case. The case was so complex and went back to issues that immigration brought up 30 years after I actually resolved them. I was scared and I really thought that I was going to be deported. When I was in York County Jail, I hired through my family, Attorney Raymond Lahoud. He met with me the next day, and fought and fought and fought, while I was sitting in mandatory detention in immigration jail. He did not stop fighting from the first day. At the first court hearing, he was persistent, knew my case, knew the law. He just knew it. I put all of my confidence in him then and I do not regret doing that. He was unbelievable because, not only was he one of the best, if not the best lawyers I have hired, he connected to me. He connects to his clients and gives them a level of comfort that takes a huge ease over the constant struggles of immigrants facing issues like I did. In court he is passionate when making his arguments. His written arguments are always really throughout out and are detailed. In the end we won the case and the judge ended and I was released because Raymond was able to fight the government on every issue they brought up. He never stopped and because of him I am still in the United States, am providing for my wife and 4 kids, am working, paying taxes. I love America and if we never hired Raymond I doubt that I would have ever seen America again. Thanks, Raymond.

Best Immigration Lawyer !!

My husband and I hired Raymond for my husbands deportation case. When we went to Ray my husband had already received 3 denial's from immigration. We have been going through the process for 5 years and everything that other lawyers tired did not work. We had lost hope and I was already preparing t...o have to leave the US because I thought this is it my husband it going to get deported. Thank god I found Ray and his team within the first 6 months we received a letter from immigration stating that they will re-open the case for consideration. No other lawyer was able to do that all the other lawyers did was charge us outrage amounts of money and at the end of it were able to get nothing done. Ray was helpful, knowledgeable and available when needed. My husband just received his green card. Words can not explain the happiness what we have and it would not have happened if it wasn't for Ray and his team. I would definitely recommend him to everybody !!!!

Really Knows Deportation Laws

The question here is what Raymond Lahoud did. When someone walks into a lawyer's office, they are sometimes a bit nervous. They expect to walk in and be attacked with all kinds of legalese--where they don't know any of the words and are sold into hiring the lawyer just for the heck of it. That w...as not the case here. When I met with Raymond Lahoud, who works for Baurkot & Baurkot, in his Easton, Pennsylvania office, it was different. He spoke with normal words and was not throwing all kinds of things at me to get me to hire the law firm. No, it just was not like that. He did not charge a consult fee. He just wanted to talk to me and get as much information as possible so he can be able to give me a good decision as to what should happen next and what I should do. He did not tell me that I needed to hire him. He told me what can be done by him and was VERY upfront with the prices. Immigration and deportation law is so hard. I don’t know how anyone can understand it. But, he did. He could. He was great from day one. To be more specific—I was facing a problem where my adjustment of status application was denied. I had married a US Citizen and for some reason they did not believe the marriage was real. It was everything but fake—we were in love. When they denied the application, they put me through immigration proceedings. I thought that I could handle it myself. Then, I read more and more. So, I went and saw a lawyer in New Jersey. He had no clue what he was talking about. It was actually kind of funny. I paid this other lawyer the consultation fee and ran out of his office. I looked online for attorneys and came across the Baurkot & Baurkot website. I did some research. The firm is great. George Baurkot has a lot of experience dealing with deportation and other matters. I called, made an appointment. From the minute I walked in, I was comfortable. Then I met with Raymond. He put both myself and my husband at ease and really outlined things for me. We are going through the whole deportation process now and every time I call with a question, I get a comforting voice on the other side. Mr. Raymond Lahoud is a great lawyer who exhibits every bit of compassion to others. There are a lot of lawyers out there. There are only a few great ones. Raymond is one of them. Also, while he has an office in Easton, PA---he has other offices from New York City, New Jersey and Bethlehem, PA. He is so flexible and his website— www.nationalimmigrationlawyers.com —really lead me to him. There was so much information on there.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
