Many reviews of this law firm include peoples’ opinions, which are indeed valid. However, to show my experience with this law firm, I thought I would provide an example of my experience. After Attorney Wenger botched my final divorce settlement and then tried to gaslight me into believing I had gotte...n a better deal, he did, after approximately 2 hours capitulate, and agree to fix the issue at his cost. As I rounded the finish line to my divorce, I received a phone call from the firm’s legal secretary. She phoned me to tell me that she was preparing to audit my final invoice and wanted to know if I would like the funds deducted before my final equitable distribution check was sent or if I would prefer an invoice. I chose the invoice option as I wanted the opportunity to see the charges. She stated that the invoice would be out later that day and within seconds of hanging up, she sent the invoice. I immediately called her back (literally within seconds of receiving the invoice). I asked if this was the final invoice as she stated in our previous conversation that she needed to audit the invoice and I was under the assumption that would take time. She assured me that this was the final, audited invoice. I perused the invoice and had several questions. To streamline my questioning, I made an Excel spreadsheet with the line items from the invoice and wrote my comments on the lines where I had questions. After three emails back and forth shaming me for asking questions, I simply let it go. However, in the evening, I received an email from Attorney Wenger in which the following was stated: “In reviewing the billing, I noticed an oversight: my time, up to and including the preparation for and attendance at the October 27, 2023, hearing, was not billed. If there is a dispute regarding the $2,754.00 balance, I am prepared to revise the billing for accuracy. Otherwise, the firm seeks only the outstanding balance.” So after confirming that the invoice was audited, not once but twice with the law firm, and then asking questions about the bill, there were suddenly new charges that had been missed. While Attorney Wenger did not send a revised invoice, his veiled threat was understood: Stop asking questions or we will charge you more. And there is so much more. So much so that I am filing a disciplinary complaint against this attorney. Let this be a cautionary tale for anyone seeking to do business with Wenger Law. This was at the end of my divorce of two years and all I did was point out errors in their billing. If you believe you can withstand this type of treatment from someone who is supposed to protect you, think twice as the service of this law firm will literally leave you a psychological mess. He sounded great on the consultation. He was hired and Paid. First Wenger sent badly informed unknown attorneys in his place x 2 for different court appearances, then he didn't show at a Call of list. This started snow ball, Judge called another hearing, Wenger did show and lied to judge stated he... "wrote wrong date down". Judge stated lying by attorney was Misconduct. This has caused so many additional court appearances time and money. He has now been dismissed from case. Prior He stated he would make Motions for dismissal never followed through. He would not return calls His failures and lies as attorney has showed so much corruption in legal system. He will tell you what you want to hear and take your money, do not hire!

The first time I contacted Attorney Wenger we had wonderful conversation and he seemed deeply interested in my case. We spoke on the phone for about and hour concerning my case. I was ready to hire him on the spot but I wanted to talk to my family first. After about 20 minutes I get a call from what ...I’m assuming was his secretary and she asked me if I knew my ex. (They asked her name, won’t share that here) and I said well of course, she is the other party in the case. They asked if I was going to hire Attorney Wenger because if not, he was gonna go work with my ex. Huge Red Flags went up immediately and I questioned whether he could or not because he already spoke to me and knew the details of the case. Attorney Wenger himself then called me and explained that he was going to represent her if I didn’t hire him so I brought up my concerns again. I guess he didn’t end up allowing that but I too didn’t hire him. After a few months I felt like I should give him another shot and when I called him back he seemed very interested in helping me again and we discussed payment and I explained my situation which he seemed ok with. When we hung up I didn’t hear from him again. Another few months go by, and surprisingly enough I call AGAIN to which he explains how he feels for me because of a situation he went through and how he knows what it’s like for fathers to get screwed. He had me sold, I committed, told him I would pay and i looked forward to working with him. He told me he would call that weekend, guess what… didnt call. Got a text saying he was going to call a little bit later. Finally called me back and just didn’t seem to care any more. Asked me to take pictures and email Everything so I did. Didn’t get a response so I messaged and he said he would call me back the following Monday. To your surprise he never called. I waited a few minutes and reached out and he told me he was still on client calls but he was going to call. Nope didn’t happen. Waited again till Tuesday evening and finally reached out. Still have yet to get a response from this guy. So I had trial for custody last week and went pro sé (best decision I’ve ever made) but during that time before he blew me off again he told me to do a few things before trial. Trial day. Were sitting in the courtroom and all of a sudden my ex spouts off everything this guy recommended I do only twisted it to fit her agenda…. I mean to a T. So to get to the point I think (strictly my feelings, not accusing) he has or was talking to my ex more than I know and it really just gave me a bad taste. Personally I wouldn’t recommend him to either of my exs. Seemed like a great attorney and even better guy. Watch out for the facades. They’re low paid actors and he failed his debut audition. Please be careful and diligent when calling. I would hate to see anyone get screwed.

The best way I can describe my experience with David Wenger and his assistant is like making two new friends who deeply know the law and are probably retired special forces. In the midst of my messy court situations, David was the only lawyer (of 4 that I was trying to work with) who spoke law lingo ...in a language that I could understand, and acted much like a friend -- reacting with his own opinion about whether or not I'm focusing on the right thing, or if my crazy Ex is being a d*ck. If I had a quick 10 second question, David and his assistant Erica gave me helpful answers and advice without the sneaky charges that other lawyers tack on (like charging $25 per email without telling you... yikes). In fact, I had one court case regarding child support that came up and I was going to hire him to help me, but he told me not to, because he was confident the case would go smoothly and I'd just be wasting money to hire him. He's saved me lots of money! That's why I didn't even flinch at paying the cost when I did need his help in later cases. They not only handle my legal needs with excellence, but they also help with my human to human need, helping me simply process and understand my situation, and accept what needs to happen next. David's not just a lawyer, he's a real person who's had his own share of court experiences. So he can easily understand my side of the situation. Lastly, I'll just remark on his actual courtroom demeanor. David is tall, and I mean tall! He brings a cool suit, and the latest technology. He walks in with a huge smile and has absolutely no hesitation to speak up to me, anyone I have with me, and even my attacking Ex. He definitely makes the court experience less intimidating. Not to mention, it's a great feeling to have such a cool lawyer walk into the courtroom with you. And he's very sharp witted, catching all the details, analyzing the discussion, and communicating the right amount to the judge.
