Born in Pittsburgh, PA in 1942, Laurence B. Green enlisted in the U.S. Army after his graduation from high school and served in both South Korea and Japan. Following his military career, he attended the University of Pittsburgh and graduated with a B.A. in 1966. After college, Mr. Green worked as a laborer in the open hearth furnace at the Homestead Works of U.S. Steel and was a member of the United Steel Workers of America. Thereafter, he attended the University of Pittsburgh Law School, where he received his J.D. in 1971. He is licensed to practice in all Pennsylvania State and Federal Courts and in the Supreme Court of the United States. He began his legal career as a staff attorney for Neighborhood Legal Services Association. He left that position to open a private law office in Pittsburgh in the general practice of law concentrating in Plaintiff's Personal Injury litigation. He is a founding partner of Berger and Green, where he serves as a Pennsylvania Personal Injury attorney for the firm.
In 2004, Mr. Green was named as a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer. This distinction means that his peers nominated him as one of the best lawyers in Pennsylvania based on their observance of him in action. After careful research and a throughout business review, Law and Politics selected Mr. Green as one of the distinguished Pennsylvania Super Lawyers based on specific criteria. Mr. Green is a member of the American Association for Justice (AAJ), the Pennsylvania Association for Justice (PaAJ), the Western Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association (WPTLA), the Pennsylvania Bar Association (PBA), and Allegheny County Bar Association (ACBA). He has also joined a distinguished group of attorneys as a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum, a small group of attorneys throughout the United States who have successfully pursued awards in the amount of one million dollars or more for their clients. Mr. Green is a hands-on attorney, who is not afraid to take a difficult case. He prides himself on his attention to detail.
