On Feb 10th of 2018 I slid into a pole and totaled my my truck. I called the police myself and then seen a officer riding by then flagged him down. Never would of thought my Bac level was .16, I was very alert and seemed to be normal. This officer arrested me and gave me about 3-4 tickets but did n...ot complete any sobrierty test. I never was in this situation before so when asked I did take the breathalyzer test. ED recommends that shouldn't have been done and really didn't think it would be much he could do with my BAC level being so high. I work with youth and needed my licenses, during this process I not only lost my license but my job. I was stressed the entire summer because I have a Master's degree and couldn't find any good well paying job. ED reassured everything would be okay and wanted me to take the offer of having a ankle bracelet for about 3 months and the charge would be dropped to a traffic infraction. I denied this offer and was willing to risk everything taking this to trial with ED knowledge, I just knew he would figure it out. AS HE DID! We finally received the body cam video where ED seen more kinks in this case. The observation time was not accurate before having me take the breathalyzer. On top of no breathalyzer, ED heard me say the officer name as he walked up to my car because I read it off his badge. ED seen that I was very alert as I told him I was. He immediately told my father and I, we are def going to trial. ED said we have a good case right now. Trial lasted four court dates. One with the judge not being ready but the judge was ready to dismiss this case the first court day. ED told my father and I you guys wont see much fire in the courtroom but boy did he lie to us. Once ED started cross examining the officer he LIT THE COURTROOM up. I was very pleased with this first trial day, like I just felt the stress to begin to leave my body. I said all this to say Ed is the ONE, throughout many court dates from February to October it was much stress but that's because I felt like my livelihood and career was basically over. My masters degree is in Criminal Justice and I just was so down and out. But October 16th my life was right back on track. All charges was DISMISSED. They are the best DWI lawyers around! I had my aggravated DWI charge dropped down to a DWAI. I did not refuse to blow and they were able to get my breathalyzer test thrown out due to a technicality. I cannot say enough about Mr Ed Fianchach, and his team at Fiandach & Fiandach. When Ed met with me, he passed no judgement, however, was blunt and direct about possible outcomes. This was unfortunately my 2nd, and absolute last DWI. My first one, I contacted a lawyer who did not specialize in these ...cases, but had worked with some in the past. Things ended okay, but they could have been better. The outcome with Ed and his team were way better than I ever expected. I lost my license for 6 months. It could have been so worse. I signed up for a treatment program. It was suggested by Ed to do it right away, as the court will ultimately ask for it. And to be honest, it really did change myself and how I am. The court could see the real me and didn't think of me as a repeat offender, even though my history could have made them think otherwise. But I truly believe it was because of my representation. Any more offenses and my punishment will be 1000 times worse. And I know he is right. The final piece to my puzzle was trying to see if the County court judge would reinstate my pistol permit, given my past. On the day of the hearing, Timoth Rath from the firm met with me for about 10-15 minutes, mainly shooting the breeze. When he represented our case to the judge, I could not believe honestly how well spoken he was, and how well he really captured me, who I am, my intentions in life and how I know what I did was wrong. All from a quick 10 minute conversation before going in. Fast forward...and I have just been reinstated for my NYS pistol permit. I cannot thank Fiandach & Fiandach enough for truly taking the time to work with me and standing by my side.

Fiandach and fiandach brought up a very interesting point immediately as I was looking at a 3rd DWI in less than ten years and while only being 28 this was a very serious offense. He stated that my first DWI should have been YO'd as I was mandatory youthful offender. This would have resulted in my se...cond NOT being a felony and the current being my first felony. He was able to change ALL the records I was charged with 4 months weekends and 5 yrs probation. I was able to keep working only because of Ed fiandach. His firm is the only firm that should be dealing with DWI. Other firms should stick to land transfers and speeding tickets as they just do not have the experience.
