I believe that being an attorney is more than just advising clients on the law and appearing in Court. As a Matrimonial and Family Law attorney, I believe in establishing a close rapport with my clients, knowing their genuine needs and concerns, and counseling them in times when they are most vulnerable. I want my clients to know that I truly care about the outcome of their case, and doing my best to obtain results that are in their best interests and that of their children.
I was born and raised in Buffalo, New York, where the majority of my family continues to reside. My parents are hard-working people who took on many jobs throughout my childhood to send my sister and I to private schools and give us many advantages that we wouldn't otherwise have if it weren't for their hard work and dedication. I am the first person in my family to attend and complete college.
My parents, as middle-class folks, always stressed the importance of treating people as I would want to be treated, regardless of gender, religion, race, age, disability, social status, sexual orientation, and the like. All of my grandparents immigrated to the United States from Sicily and Poland, respectively, and worked hard to establish a life in the US. I was raised with patriotism and respect for our servicemembers, and currently have family in active deployment.
The importance of education was always a focus in my home, but my parents also encouraged our involvement in sports and extracurriculars. I have played competitive sports my whole life, particularly basketball and softball. My father played AAA baseball and my my younger sister obtained her advanced degree in neuroscience by attending college on a basketball scholarship.
I have always enjoyed reading and writing poetry, and I was first published in a national magazine at age five. I am highly supportive of the United States Military and actively participate in projects to benefit War Veterans. I consistently donate to organizations that support world literacy, veterans, and animal shelters.
I worked full-time as a Project Coordinator for The Home Depot for ten years while I attended undergrad and law school. I have worked with architects, contractors, and homeowners on any project you can think of, but particularly entire kitchen/bath ronnovation, flooring installation, plumbing, and electrical projects. I love physical labor and I like to get dirty. It's therapeutic.
My upbringing and experience has taught me the importance of hard work, healthy competition, but also working as a team. Equally important, I have also learned the importance of family, friendship, and respect. I pride myself in my work as an attorney, and take care to provide each client with quality representation. Many clients have stated their appreciation that I am "real". where I give straightforward, understandable advice. Being an attorney is one of the MANY things that define me, as result of hard work and persistence. It's my goal to continue that hard work and persistence throughout my career.

Thank you Elaina
I hate the fact that we had to hire an attorney- child custody/child support has been the most stressful thing as a parent. The only positive thing about court is having someone as strong willed, caring and ad dedicated as Elaina. She sees everything for what it's worth, gives you advice even if it's...

WHY HAVE YOU NOT HIRED HER YET?! STOP WAITING YOU'RE ONLY HURTING YOURSELF AND YOUR KIDS WAITING TO DO SO!!! The best damn move I did was to hire her. She has been invested deeply into my case for a VERY looooong time. Over 5 years work if not longer. She is RUTHLESS in the court room and speaks f...

only efficient until she loses interest
This attorney is friendly and seems to be concerned about your court issues and how it will impact your life until she has or makes up a reason not to. hard to reach half of the time, does not respond to texts or messages once she gets comfortable with you and does not always follow through with what...

Do not hire if you you care about your family
Horrible lawyer. Took the full retainer. and refused to meet with me OR return a phone call even though I hired her in an emergency custody situation. Was not able to meet with me or talk with me for 2 months after I paid her even though my children were wrongfully taken from me and she reassured me...
Hello, FV - I know that you wrote this review. You continue to make false claims regarding representation, and I am asking you to cease and desist your defamatory statements. You've contacted the Bar Association, and after reviewing your case and my representation, they dismissed your allegations and found that I diligently and competently represented you. I was one of several (approximately seven) attorneys you hired for your case, most of whom you have also threatened to grieve and place blame for your failure to follow Court orders and not address your issues. I am writing this response not to validate your false claims, but to ensure that anyone reading this knows that your review was written maliciously and with the specific intent to spread false information about my abilities and damage my reputation. Please stop.

TERRIBLE
Do yourself a favor and do not hire this woman, she will take your money and run. You won't hear from her and years will go by and your case will be on going. She is full of excuses and lies, bills for everytime you try to reach her even though 90% of the time she does not respond. 3 years in still n...
Since it appears as though this review was written in very close time to the analogous review written just a couple days ago, also by an "anonymous" user, I'll simply offer the same reply and hope that if you are actually a client, that you reach out to me directly so I can better assist you. Thanks so much and be well! "Dear Sir or Madam: Thank you for your feedback. I'm very sorry that you've had a negative experience. Of course, I always aim to assist my clients as efficiently as possible, taking into consideration that progress and results take time. Unfortunately, I had no control over the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, and if your divorce has been going on for two years, that means that your case may have been delayed by rules and restrictions set my court administration for the past 18 months, which is the majority of the time that your case has been pending, of which I have no control. I certainly could address your concerns more thoroughly if I knew who you were. Currently, I have no clients that have stated their displeasure to me directly, so I have no ability to know if someone is not satisfied. I welcome you to contact my office directly, so I can get your name and confirm that you are a current client, and address your concerns. I have not taken a vacation since October 2019, so I'm unsure why you're under the impression that I have been on vacation. I wish I could take a vacation, but I am very busy working hard for my clients :) I hope to hear from you directly when you call the office. Thank you and stay well! ”
