I have been admitted to the New York State Bar since 2004. I spent the first ten years of my career as an Assistant District Attorney in the Onondaga County (Syracuse) District Attorney's Office. Over the course of my public service time I prosecuted thousands of criminal cases, including DWI, Assault, Robbery, Burglary and illegal weapons possession. I also have experience in the handling of criminal appeals. During my tenure as a prosecutor, I conducted over 20 jury trials and countless grand jury presentations and hearings.
In 2014 I left the D.A.'s office to go into private practice. My practice is dedicated exclusively to representing those charged with traffic charges, DWI, misdemeanor and felony offenses. In making the decision to end my career as a prosecutor and go into criminal defense, I knew I only wanted to associate with those defense attorneys that have proven themselves to be exceptional attorneys and have the best reputations in the community for honest, ethical and zealous representation of those facing criminal charges. I found the perfect opportunity at Green & Brenneck to work with a team of experienced, former prosecutors who have demonstrated time and again their ability to deliver results for clients and maintain the highest level of professionalism and compassion.

I worked with Jim in the Onondaga District Attorney's Office for over four years. During that time I watched as he prosecuted one high profile case after another - each time handling the case professionally, ethically, and with incredible skill. A prominent judge once told me that if I wanted to learn how to try a high profile DWI case, watch Jim Daley. I highly recommend him for any criminal defense or DWI cases.

Mr. Daley is a lawyer you can count on to guide you through the criminal law process. He has a great deal of experience in the field of DWI. When he as a prosecutor he worked for several years in the DWI unit. After he learned that field really well he moved on to major crimes in the felony trial unit. He has tremendous experience handling major cases and knows what facts matter. He can be relied on to give you the "real" analysis of a legal issue and advise you of the best course of action for you and your family. I think he would be a great choice for anyone who has been charged with a crime. He is well respected in the legal community. Whether you need a great negotiator or a great trial lawyer, count on Jim.
