Children were not the priority.

My experience, with Bryn Lovejoy-Grinnell as Attorney for the Child was extremely disappointing. I repeatedly attempted to provide evidence I believed was relevant to my children’s welfare. In my experience, she refused to review or discuss that evidence and told me she would not communicate with me ...or my attorney regarding it. I also became concerned about what I perceived to be a lack of impartiality. In filings submitted to the court, I believed statements attributed to my children contained substantially identical language, which led me to question whether those statements reflected their independent views. I raised those concerns but did not believe they were meaningfully addressed. After I filed a contempt motion against the children’s mother, Ms. Lovejoy-Grinnell submitted an affidavit that, according to my recollection, stated that I was “just mad because he doesn’t have his kids.” I believed that mischaracterized my concerns, which were focused on court order compliance and the issues I raised. Because of these experiences, I filed a grievance regarding her handling of my case. This review reflects my personal experience and opinions based on my case. Based on that experience, I would not recommend her services as Attorney for the Child.

An amazing advocate!

Bryn is everything you would want in an attorney: knowledgeable, unflappable in the face of all the weird tactics other lawyers (and/or your estranged spouse) will use, thorough, methodical, and very easy to talk to. She asked all the right questions to help me understand everything I needed to know ...at every step of the process. She was patient and highly responsive to my many questions. She helped me understand the questions I needed to answer for myself so I could move through each stage of the process -- with knowledge so I could move through any fears and worries I had about the legal side of things. She also corrected the other lawyer in this case on multiple occasions because he lacked knowledge in many areas. Some lawyers will want just your money and extend the process as long as possible to get it; Bryn only wants to represent you as best she can. This process is so hard. Bryn made the legal part of it as easy as possible. My advice to anyone going through this is: know what you want. Then Bryn can help you best. While she is an amazing person to talk to, and vent to, she helps you most when you know what you want and can explain that to her as clearly as possible. And I will love her forever for how well she handled my case and represented me very, very well!

Efficient and Effective!

I knew Bryn as a parent and engaged member of the community; I reached out to a group looking for someone to handle my divorce proceedings, and she contacted me in response. I am so glad that she did! Bryn was efficient, timely, and communicated everything in a manner that was easy to understand. My ...ex and I had gone through a lengthy mediation process, so much of that work was done; she tied everything up and my divorce was completed so quickly and effectively. Divorce is scary and hard and leaves you feeling vulnerable, and Bryn handles the work with no judgement. You feel both safe and like things are being handled well. I give her my full recommendation, and truly appreciate the work she did for me.

Great lawyer

I hired Bryn to help me deal with an unwarranted TOP against me. Bryn was professional and easy to talk to. She gave great advice and stuck with me through a drawn-out court process. Ultimately, the judge found no cause against me, and I don't have to deal with any more court orders!

Would Highly Recommend

I had a great experience with Bryn Lovejoy-Grinnell as my divorce attorney. She has a vast knowledge of divorce & family law, along with related items that are directly affected by a divorce such as real estate, savings, retirement, etc. She always responded to emails and calls quickly. That ...included responses to multiple emails or messages from me on the same day. She was always up front with me and told me her honest legal opinion (not just what I wanted to hear). I appreciated that much more than the used auto sales pitch that some other attorneys gave me during consultations. With that said, she will still fight for whatever you want. I ended up getting a very good deal for myself and avoided going to court. I would certainly hire her again.
