Anthony A. Marrone II focuses his practice and regularly appears in the news and gives public presentations in the areas of elder law, Medicaid, trust and estates, guardianships, and special needs planning.
His elder law practice focuses on Medicaid pre-planning including the use of trusts to assist clients in protecting assets in advance of incurring long-term care expenses. Mr. Marrone also provides crisis planning to clients who are already in the nursing home and have not implemented an advance plan. Even for these clients, Mr. Marrone is able to preserve a significant portion of their assets. Mr. Marrone also provides Medicaid application assistance and representation through all stages of the Medicaid application process, including fair hearings and appeals of Medicaid denials.
Through his trusts and estates practice, Mr. Marrone helps families protect, preserve, and efficiently transfer wealth. He uses the latest tax-savings strategies to avoid or minimize estate, gift and income taxes. This practice also includes the preparation of wills, trusts, health care proxies and powers of attorneys for individuals and families. Additionally, Mr. Marrone provides significant post-mortem planning for executors, trustees and estate fiduciaries, and has handled several will and trust contest proceedings.
Mr. Marrone's guardianship and special needs planning practice includes guardianship applications for disabled minors and adults, both with mental and physical impairments. Additionally, Mr. Marrone regularly prepares trusts for individuals with special needs and clients receiving large settlements seeking to preserve government benefit eligibility. This practice includes comprehensive representation in any legal proceedings and interfacing with Department of Social Services, Social Security Administration and other government agencies to coordinate benefits.
Prior to founding The Marrone Law Firm, P.C., Mr. Marrone practiced in the Estate and Elder Law department of a regional Upstate New York law firm.

Anthony was referred to my husband and I by my aunt's attorney who was running for a judgeship in Syracuse. She gave us excellent information regarding Anthony's background, personality and his knowledge of the elder care law which is what we were looking for. My husband and I met with Anthony and I ...

Moving from former attorney (she became a judge) to a new one could have been unpleasant. Mr. Marrone made the transition smooth, both by his welcoming nature and by having learned of my interests/needs in advance and being prepared. The resulting service: Spot on!

Anthony is an okay lawyer, but does not have the experience he holds himself out to have. I received conflicting information from him, and several lawyers at a very large firm in town. If you want basic small stuff done, i'm sure he's good, but that's really it.
I value this feedback from a potential client, so thank you for letting me know you were not satisfied with your interactions with me and my law firm. This matter does not sound familiar, and we strive for the utmost client satisfaction in every case. I try to be as up front as possible in our interactions with potential clients about my experience and the types of matters I can handle. If you would like to call me directly to discuss this matter further, you can reach me at 315-728-9433 x2001.

My husband and I have been working with Anthony for 3 months. We live in Australia. He has always been there for us. Anthony is caring and very thorough. We couldn't ask for any more from him.
"I have referred matters to Anthony, and he has done an excellent job in representing those clients. Anthony is enthusiastic about elder law, probate and estate planning. I have found that he is knowledgeable in his areas of law, cares about his clients, and has great communication skills."
"After closing a real estate transaction, my clients often ask me how to protect their real estate investment going forward through estate planning. Not having extensive experience in that particular area of law, I often refer my client’s to Anthony. Not only is Anthony very knowledgeable in that area of law, but he is also very personable – something my clients value – receiving professional level services without feeling like you’re talking to an attorney."
"Anthony and I have known each other for quite some time and I have always been impressed with his character and his passion for his clients. Not only does he listen and advocate for each of his clients but he also teaches the community about how to prepare their estates, wills, etc.. The education that he offers sets Anthony apart from the rest of the legal community. He is an excellent attorney. Without hesitation, I endorse this lawyer."
"Anthony is a bright and energetic attorney and is well versed in the area of estate planning. I would not hesitate to refer a matter to him."
"I have known Anthony for several years, both personally and professionally. He is a quality person and highly-skilled attorney. I can state without hesitation that The Marrone Law Firm will always be my first phone call in the event that a client, friend or family member has a Trust or Estate planning inquiry."
"I endorse this lawyer because I worked with him on a complicated matter where I witness his dedication to his clients and his tireless effort to get it right. Anthony is an asset to his clients and our legal community."
"In my many dealings with Mr. Marrone I have found him to be very competent, caring and professional. I recommend him without reservation."
"I have referred various matters to Mr. Marrone in which I do not regularly practice. I have always found him to be a prompt and effective communicator, to my clients and me. He is personable and knowledgeable in his work. I highly recommend Mr. Marrone and will continue to refer matters to him."
