Every cloud has a silver lining. I decided to help my young college son by hiring a traffic lawyer (first time ever). Things looked grim with my son's Colesville, NY, 74/55 in a work zone ticket; we live in Md. That is the cloud. Here is the lining: Mr Mafrici proved to be:-HONEST- told me the odds of getting what I hoped. DILIGENT- tried several ways to get what I hoped. ACHIEVER - managed to reduce points, though not to zero like I hoped. ( wonder if he knows He reduced my stress levels 100% by making it possible for my busy son not to miss school and drive for hours - thanks!!) GENEROUS & GRACIOUS- he refunded all my money because I did not get all I hoped. He shines! If you need a lawyer, do yourself a favor and hire him!

Mr. Mafrici has represented me several times over the past 10+ years, and I have always appreciated the best-case outcomes I feel he's gotten for me, as well as his and his staff's professionalism. He can be somewhat unconventional at times - e.g., he speaks very directly and does not sugar coat anything - but this is a trait that I value greatly, especially when I'm in a jam and need to understand all my options. His candor and his obvious experience not only make me feel much more comfortable but it's clear that these attributes also give him an edge in court when dealing with judges, D.A.s, and even the cops. More than once I have stood with him in court and felt my nervousness dissolve as he spoke with the judge or DA about my case. It’s clear that he is well respected and that the court appreciates his knowledge and lack of BS as much as his clients.
Most recently I got into a jam because I made the mistake of hiring an attorney that practices closer to my home (near Albany). For inexplicable reasons, this attorney did nothing with my traffic-related case for months (except make excuses to me) and it wasn’t until I got a notice of license suspension that I called Tom. To my great relief, he swooped in, got me back on the road within 24 hrs, and eventually settled my outstanding case at a cost (fines and his fee) that I did not think possible - even before my original lawyer screwed things up. I have no doubt that he was only able to accomplish this due to his “people skills†with the court (even though this town court is nowhere near his immediate home turf).
I’m not the kind of person that bothers to write reviews for products or services (good or bad) – but given the impossibly favorable outcome of this last ticket situation of mine I am making an exception. I would highly recommend Tom’s services to anybody with traffic ticket problems anywhere in the state.

I endorse this lawyer. Thomas is very personable and works diligently for his clients. I have been in court with him and envy his passion to assist his clients. As well, he is very likable and you will be in good hands.

Thomas Mafrici is a well respected and talented lawyer who has a statewide practice and is one of the very best traffic lawyers in the Syracuse and Cicero area. He personally answers his phone and has the knowledge, experience and relationships with prosecutors and town clerks that help him to get the best possible dispositions for his clients. I highly recommend him to anyone with a traffic matter or DWI in that part of the state as I practice mostly in New York City, Buffalo, Niagara Falls and other towns and I know how important those years of experience are and knowledge of each particular court which is essential to handling cases in those small towns and villages, as well as the larger cities and towns. His rates are reasonable and he can be trusted to handle any type of traffic case competently and honestly.
