Anthony C. Cillis

A year ago, I approached Mr. Cillis regarding a child emancipation case. I understood it was an unusual case and I made it clear to him that I was not interested in chasing unicorns: if there wasn't strong legal support for the case, I had no interest in moving forward and certainly wasn't looking to... invest a ton of time and 6-figures in fees. I shared this perspective in person and reiterated it via email indicating to him I was not interested in tall stories or wild lawyer promises but sought integrity and guidance that would help me avoid chasing an impossible case. He assured me that this was a $5k-7,500 investment and that we had a great chance of winning. As it turned out, this took a year out of my life and $17,000 of wasted money. There was zero legal standing at all for the case, something that was clearly hinted to him in the first ex-parte meeting with the magistrate but that Mr. Cillis withheld from me until the final court date almost 8 months later. I can only assume he did this to keep the money coming in as it certainly isn't appropriate legal behavior. Unfortunately, I found Mr. Cillis to not be honorable, forthright, nor acting in my best interest and I could only advise people to seek alternative counsel. A lesson I learned here is to make sure to put in writing what is being agreed to and exactly what you seek from the attorney. Get the attorney to sign off on that to protect yourself. I would even suggest recording your meetings with the attorney. Any attorney who balks at that is probably not forthright and honest.

Speeding ticket, serious violation (allegedly 31 over)...a mess. I reached out to Anthony, he responded immediately, I got him the info he needed, and that was it. My work was done. His was just getting started. Court date arrived, Anthony attended on my behalf (I did not attend). I received a fin...e and zero points. I was referred to Anthony by a friend who told me I'd love this guy, and she was right! If you need an attorney, this is The Man - period. He is responsive, understanding, efficient, and really (really!) good at his job.

He explained the process step by step, went above and beyond to get things done quickly, extremely prof...essional, responsive to phone call/emails and followed up all the way to the end. We couldn't have had the outcome we did without him.

I hired Anthony to take over a firearms case on my behalf. Anthony handled this matter quickly and effectively. Anthony was able to have my property returned to me. I could not have asked for a more diligent attorney to work with. Anthony was extremely responsive and always accessible. Anthony was hired by me for a complex DWI case. The circumstances around the case won’t be discussed here, but because of the complexities, he was able to adapt to the case. Everything was supposed to be done by the end of March, and then COVID-19 took hold and everything court related was shut dow...n. Because of this, court dates kept getting pushed back and rescheduled. Finally Anthony was able to coordinate with the DA’s office and the court to conduct a remote hearing. Needless to say, because of the environment that COVID-19 put us all in, Anthony was able to adapt to that changing environment flawlessly. I could not ask for a better result! Anthony is much more than an attorney. He is literally a jack of all trades when it comes to his craft. He will sit there and listen to your concerns, listen to you vent, and will pick you up and dust the dirt off of you when you feel like you’re on the ground.
