Steven John Homayoon

I happen to be filing my old court documents and decided to be sure to leave a review. Mr. Homayoon is a knowledgeable and compassionate upfront attorney. Even when it may seem like it is going left, I can honestly say with my experience with Mr. Homayoon, he is upfront, even if you do not prefer his... answers and direction at the moment. At the end of the day, he is knowledgeable, and he uses his best judgement, regardless. I appreciate the help and direction I have received from Mr. Homayoon. If your looking for an attorney to be upfront with you, he is the one.

Mr. Hamayoon was assigned to my custody trial. He did absolutely nothing to help me get custody of my children. In fact I lost custody because he refused to subpoena records, call witnesses, and present evidence to show the abusive and irresponsible nature of my ex. He would show up late and never w...as prepared. Most of the time I had to defend myself because he barely said anything to the judge to help me look better in the judges eyes. Communicating with him is non existent because he never pucks up the phone, or emails you back. He is rude and condescending when he speaks with you. I lost my children because of bad lawyering. Watching him in trial was pure agony. He did not know what he was doing. Stay away. He will ruin your life and will blame you in the process.

By far the worse lawyer I’ve ever encountered. He did absolutely nothing but take advantage of the fact that I didn’t know my rights or my due process. After a false OP he never requested a fact finding hearing which would have cleared my name. After my child’s grandmother attacked the process server... he facilitated it being kept quiet and never being addressed when he should have filed an OP on her. The manner in which he spoke to me , no professionalism no respect whatsoever. He never filed my amended petition which was the first thing I paid him for 5 months prior. His actions have cost me a lot more than just money,!as the first 4 months of these proceedings I saw my daughter for a total of 48 hours. Mind you I’m a resident of Florida and was renting an apartment in Long Island just to be able to see my daughter. He’s an embarrassment to every lawyer so beware beware beware

Over the past 4 years I have dealt with over a dozen family attorneys. My case is extremely complex and has a lot of moving parts. In my experience, Mr. Homayoon is the most knowledge of all the attorneys I have dealt with. He listens and makes me feel comfortable to where I can explain the circumsta...nces of my case. Then explains what my options are as it pertains to the law. I highly reccomend him to anyone in need of advice or representation in a family court or representation in a family court matter.
