Christopher Marlborough

I'm Christopher Marlborough, and I founded the Marlborough Law Firm to advocate for workers facing wage theft. My work focuses on cases involving unpaid minimum wage and overtime, off-the-clock work, misclassification as independent contractors, and other wage theft violations.

I completed my undergraduate studies magna cum laude at the State University of New York at Purchase and earned my juris doctor, also magna cum laude, from Brooklyn Law School.

Since beginning my legal career in 2004, I have concentrated on complex class and collective action cases, a focus I've maintained since 2007. Most of my cases are handled on a contingency basis — typically one third of any recovery — and in many wage and hour cases, attorney's fees are ultimately paid by the defendant under fee-shifting provisions of federal and state wage laws, not out of my client's own recovery.

Throughout my career, I've been honored by my peers and various organizations for my contributions to employment law and class actions. Recognitions include:
