We engaged Mr. LaFaurie for a case involving our son. I called several lawyers and phone interviewed them prior to hiring. When I called Wilson LaFaurie he was seemed extremely knowledgable. Talking to him was very comforting - like everything will be okay, and he will work his hardest to fight my case. However, I paid Wilson LaFaurie a large sum of m...oney and in the end his work was not worth a single penny. He was very hard to contact, he never answered the phone or returned calls. In order to reach him I would have to send a text and he would only respond back via text. This was very inconvenient because I could never get all of my questions answered and was left in the dark about my case. One day I showed up to court on the date listed on my paper and the judge yelled at me saying that I was suppose to be submitting paperwork that day. Paperwork that my lawyer never told me about; I was completely unaware of this. The court clerk then said, "I hope you didn't pay a lawyer for your case, he's suppose to be submitting the paperwork not you." I then called my lawyer…no answer. So, I texted him and his response was completely in CAPS with exclamation marks saying. "THIS IS NOT MY JOB, YOU OBVIOUSLY DIDN'T DO YOUR PART!" -Well excuse me, because I had done everything I was ordered to do from both my lawyer and the court. He is not on top of work, when something goes wrong in your case he will blame you. He didn't get my charges lowered at all. He didn't show up to all my court cases - he would send fill in lawyers who knew nothing about my case. When I got my final judgement from the court I tried to reach him with further questions and he always responded with, "Can't help you with that, sorry." Seriously, don't waste your money on him. He seems like an amazing lawyer at first. If I had to do it all over again I would probably still pick him out of the other 10 other lawyers I interviewed. He seems very knowledgable and will act like he really cares about you. However, it is an act. You are much better going with your court appointed lawyer than him any day. Hiring him was my biggest mistake.

Before I had selected my attorney I did a lot of research. Mr. Lafaurie has great reviews and he lives up to all of them. He spent a lot of time discussing my case with me and all the avenues/obstacles that we would encounter. Many other attorneys I contacted were more interested in discussing the...ir fees. He has a great deal of knowledge. He wan't cheap, but was worth it. I am a sound believer that you get what you pay for. I am very happy with my outcome and would always recommend him.
