Russ Kofman

Hiring Mr. Kofman was the best decision I could of ever made for my case. From the moment I met to consult with him until my final day in pre-trial he was dedicated to my case, answered any and every question I had. Whether it was in person or over the phone Mr. Kofman was there me. From the momen...t I stepped in a court room with him you can see a look of confidence on him, as if Mr. Kofman knows he’s going to win. And that is very calming and relaxing to see that. Anytime the prosecution made a mistake, missed court dates to hand us over discovery Mr. Kofman would hound them relentlessly. After the first offer from the prosecution Mr. Kofman told my family and I that it was unacceptable and like I stated before you could see this confidence that he knew what he was talking about and truly meant it. Imagine... having your hands forced behind your back. Handcuffs forced on your wrists. Pushed into the back of a police cruised. No rights read. No idea of whats going to happen. I had a great consultation conversation with Russ prior to retaining his law firm. I signed the retainer and emailed him all the documents to use in child custody case including video evidence and case law. One day before we were set to appear in court i received a call from Grace Guo that she would ...be representing me at the hearing. At all times before that I was under the impression that Mr Kofman was my attorney as he never represented to me that someone else would handle the case. I asked Grace Guo if she received all the documents that I provided to Russ and she stated yes. She also indicated that she did her own research as well. She appeared at the hearing not looking like a lawyer. Let’s just say she didnot dress the part. In addition she was not prepared with the case law that I provided to her or the video evidence. In fact based on her recommendation that I contact my spouse during lunch the judge awarded my toddler overnight visitation twice a month with his father despite the overwhelming evidence that my husbands lifestyle would endanger my son. Grace Guo did nothing to protect my interests at all. Fifteen hundred dollars wasted. I could have stayed with the court appointed attorney.
