Brian P. Galligan

Second-chaired bench trial resulting in judgment in excess of $5 million for commercial landlord client.

Served as lead discovery attorney in multi-party real estate development/construction litigation resulting in settlement exceeding $1 million for client prior to trial.

Developed strategy, drafted motion papers, and obtained summary judgment for real estate developer recovering nearly $200,000 downpayment in less than three months after commencement of action.  

Negotiated settlement involving multiple parties in estate litigation for national charitable organization ensuring that client retained entirety of initial distribution of $500,000 and receiving additional distribution in excess of $200,000+.  

Advised national retail industry client and developed strategy regarding multi-million dollar financing dispute involving nation's largest factoring company facing bankruptcy.

Developed strategy, drafted motion, and achieved dismissal of complaint against national fixed-based operator for aviation industry averting threat to one of client's most significant revenue streams, which dismissal was unanimously affirmed on appeal.  

Drafted summary judgment motion and navigated ardous settlement process in real property dispute for Fortune 500 telecommunications company allowing client to obtain desired leasehold.

Obtained judgment and prepared all inquest papers regarding damages for national retail industry client seeking $500,000+ in damages for breach of contract and fraud in manufacturing dispute.  

Coordinated all discovery and took and defended all depositions on behalf of real property developer defending claims regarding sale of $78M development.  

Drafted motion and obtained dismissal of complaint against Fortune 1000 telecommunications client resulting in decision and order in a case of first impression before the federal district court finding no private right of action under the Telecommunications Act.
