Justin Heiferman spent nearly 20 years managing complex financial audits and investigations, both as an attorney and as a banker, for noteworthy institutions including JP Morgan Chase, BDO Seidman and Credit Suisse First Boston. As a former Assistant District Attorney with the Nassau County District Attorney Economic Crimes Bureau, Justin prosecuted and managed numerous complex investigations including Identity Theft, Mortgage Fraud, Bank Fraud and various other larcenies and frauds, working in conjunction with elite law enforcement agencies including FBI, Secret Service, USPIS, NY State Police, PA/PD, NYPD, and MTA. After the DA's office, Justin furthered his skills while practicing employment litigation for one of the largest labor and employment law firms in the US.

Recent successes:

Immigration: successfully obtained O Visa for Canadian Film Director who directed music videos for artists including Selena Gomez, Justin Bieber, Rihanna, Pharrell Williams and N.E.R.D. Obtained H-1B for NYU/Columbia MBA grads from China, as well as Film Producer from Norway.

Criminal: full dismissal of charges for a client accused of million-dollar eel theft, full dismissal of charges for multiple felony drug clients who successfully completed intensive, TASC-rehabilitation programs, dismissal of all criminal charges for multiple clients arrested for cigarette trafficking, dismissal of all criminal charges for clients arrested for trademark counterfeiting, non-jail sentence for a client accused of embezzling over $600,000. Assisted multiple domestic violence clients and victims with court-monitored therapy programs, resulting in dismissal of criminal charges.

Employment: successfully defended film producer in obtaining dismissal of FLSA lawsuit alleging violations of overtime and minimum wage. Successfully negotiated settlements, after filing federal lawsuits on behalf of restaurant and nail-salon employees alleging state and federal minimum wage and overtime violations.

Capable, Knowledgeable and TRULY Caring lawyer

I urgently needed some legal advice over the weekend before I sign the Agreement with my employer. Mr. Heiferman got back to me immediately on a Saturday, addressing my initial questions promptly. He is very knowledgeable in employment law and also familiar with employers' practices. He gave me comprehensive answers and good advices. He also asked me probing questions to help me think through my options. I then asked him follow up questions, impressively, he got back to me promptly again the next day (Sunday). With Mr. Heiferman’s just-in-time help over the short weekend, I fully understood my options and became very confident in negotiating and signing the Agreement with my employer! Mr. Heiferman is a rare find: he is a capable and also very caring lawyer who truly cares about you and will fight hard for your best interest! I will recommend him to all my friends!

Criminal case
