A No-nonsense experience.

If anyone ever tell you that going through a real estate transaction can be quite daunting, they re right absolutely right. Especially for a Coop transaction. But the fact is, it doesn't have to be if you have a good team helping you navigate through the process. And Judy S Mock does not disappoint. ...I will tell you this isn't my first rodeo dealing with a coop. I when into this transaction expecting headaches and stress knowing that there will be numbers of unforseen issue that I will be dealing with when I sell my unit. However, come the closing date, it was the smoothest transaction I've deal with. Not that there wasn't any hiccups or problem along the way. But Judy was always on top of every single detail and will advice on the best way to move forward toward the next step. She was always assuring and put me at ease. I will definitely use her again on future transaction. As a side note: Judy S Mock as been in practice for more than a decade and it shows how well she is connected with other professionals in her field. And when it comes to dealing with banks, title company, coop managements, and even other attorneys, having that connection helps make your dealing that much smoother and less troublesome.

Great lawyer!

Judy is diligent, efficient and client-focused. She operates with high integrity and will advise what is best for her clients. I hired her to do two closings, one tenant/landlord issues and finalize a will. She is very responsive. She will take time to answer questions or provide additional clarifica...tion in emails, calls and meetings. Judy is the best lawyer and I will continue to work with her for future legal needs. Hire her and you will be in good hands!

Wonderful Brooklyn Condo Purchase Experience

Working with Judy on our Brooklyn condo purchase was a fantastic experience. She had a great attitude and obvious commitment to helping us get the best outcome possible. We had a long home purchase process involving a number of accepted offers falling through (I believe 5 in total). Judy was very pat...ient and diligent about reviewing each and every offer with urgency and care. She provided strong consultation as to the pros and cons of each deal with a holistic approach. Her process is thorough and always keeps buyers interest in mind. At times that can be against 'what you want to happen' and 'what your agent wants to happen'. However, we found it invaluable to put some faith into her abilities and deep experience. Ultimately we could not be more satisfied with the outcome.

Amazing Lawyer and Great Experience!

Judy worked with me on securing my first home purchase. She walked me through every step of the way and answered all of my countless questions. This alone was a very time consuming process considering it was my first home purchase, and it being a co-op apartment made it much more complex. But she did... it patiently without a single complaint. I naively believed that most coops were managed well and did not usually have issues with their financials, but I was very quickly taught otherwise. In fact, the first coop I had an accepted offer with turned out to be mismanaged and riddled with lawsuits. I would not have known without Judy’s diligence. Judy is extremely detailed-oriented and knowledgeable. Not only would she review the due diligence documents provided by the coop, but she would go above and beyond by researching outstanding lawsuits and other public information and records. Whereas, most real estate lawyers I’ve heard through word of mouth do the very minimum to get you to close as soon as possible. Judy was determined to make sure I received and understood all of the information provided and more, so that I could make the best decision for myself. All of my emails and phone calls are quickly answered and returned. Judy is really on top of everything. She genuinely wants the very best for her clients. She even recommended multiple lenders to make sure I received the best rates with the lowest fees. Additionally, she took extra steps to minimize my closing costs when she easily didn’t have to. Judy is also very risk averse. This is a very good quality to have when working with a lawyer. She is very straight forward and tells you honestly what she thinks when a transaction is not a good deal or too risky to take on. All of her advice and guidance was invaluable to me when I was deciding whether or not to go forward with any deal. She understands the decision is ultimately up to her clients, but knowing all the risks only benefits them. I’ve spoken to several of my friends who find out about potential risks and issues only after they close. Judy has earned herself a lifelong client. I would definitely recommend her to anyone who is looking for a lawyer.

Judy is the best! - Negotiated Iron Clad Contract

Judy represented us in the purchase of our primary house. Upon our first meeting with her, she was well prepared (i.e. reviewed the inspection report, researched the NYC DOB to ensure no open permits or violations were presented, etc.). I've purchased multiple properties in the past and none of my pr...evious lawyers were as prepared as Judy was. Additionally, she made sure we were knowledgeable of the entire house purchase process. She negotiated us an iron-clad contract and i'm so glad she did! The seller's agent mis-represented the house, thus the appraisal returned back lower than expected. Judy ensured we received our deposit back and even hand delivered the deposit check to my house since we have a small toddler at home and could not travel to her office during office hours. I highly recommend Judy and plan to return back to her for all future purchases. Very knowledgeable and great to work with!!!
