My daughter desperately needed some help from a tenant lawyer when she was forced to evacuate with just a coat at 6:00 am one cold December 2020 morning due to a 6 alarm fire in the buildings next door. She and her roommate couldn’t get back in and the Managing Agent was of no help. I called Edward a...nd left a message, and he called me back right away. None of the other 3 lawyers I called even took the time to respond. I briefly explained the situation and he was very sympathetic. He then followed up with my daughter and said he could write a letter and interface with the Management Firm all for a reasonable amount. My daughter and her roommate were relieved to not have to communicate with the Agent as he was becoming increasingly caustic. They were out of the building for about 6 weeks and Edward was able to negotiate the apartment cleaning, a reduced rent (they still don’t have a working stove due to a gas issue) and a microwave. I called attorney Ted Diegnan for help with my very unreasonable landlord who was threatening to not allow me to move out of the building because my lease wasn't up, they actually said they would not allow me to use the elevator and would deny my movers entry. Ted was very responsive and immediately... helped me by getting in contact w/my landlord and getting their attorney to respond and come to a reasonable agreement. I called in desperation on a Friday afternoon with my move scheduled for Monday morning, Ted worked through the weekend for me negotiating with my landlord we came to an agreement on Sunday and I was able to move out Monday morning. Ted was great and charged me a reasonable fee as well, highly recommend.
