From the moment I sat down in Teddy's office, I was greeted in a calm, understanding, genuine manner. It's never an easy task to find a lawyer and know whether you've made the right choice. Teddy took on my case and I immediately felt relief as I sensed that he was taking this on and in a personal m...anner (not just business way) that you don't see very often. My daughter desperately needed some help from a tenant lawyer when she was forced to evacuate with just a coat at 6:00 am one cold December 2020 morning due to a 6 alarm fire in the buildings next door. She and her roommate couldn’t get back in and the Managing Agent was of no help. I called Edward a...nd left a message, and he called me back right away. None of the other 3 lawyers I called even took the time to respond. I briefly explained the situation and he was very sympathetic. He then followed up with my daughter and said he could write a letter and interface with the Management Firm all for a reasonable amount. My daughter and her roommate were relieved to not have to communicate with the Agent as he was becoming increasingly caustic. They were out of the building for about 6 weeks and Edward was able to negotiate the apartment cleaning, a reduced rent (they still don’t have a working stove due to a gas issue) and a microwave.
