Instead, I was persuaded to pursue Chapter 11 for my company, even though I did not fully understand the difference between the procedures and relied entirely on professional advice. The case dragged on for more than three years. Du...ring that time, I continued paying legal fees, yet the matter was never completed. I suffered significant financial loss and prolonged stress throughout this period. When I began to question the situation, I consulted multiple independent attorneys. Their response was surprising — they expressed concern about the strategy used in my case and indicated that my situation could likely have been handled much more simply, significantly faster, and at a fraction of the cost — potentially within just a few months. Based on my experience, the path I was directed toward proved to be unnecessarily complex and extremely costly. It gave me the impression that the approach increased the duration and expense of the case rather than prioritizing the client’s best interests. I did not feel that my interests were placed first. Drove almost 2 hours for an in person consultation that cost me $200 only to tell me the same information that was given on the phone. Then when I asked a few questions about the process and her retainer agreement, I was suddenly reccomended to a new lawyer and we "weren't a good fit". Super un...professional, the whole process and operation seemed a little sketchy from the beginning, but that took it to a whole new level. You'd think that a client who was doing his due dilligence and ready to do the work would be welcomed to a lawyer not a burden. Very dissapointed overall, just want this out there so someone else doesn't fall into the same pitfalls.
