We thought when our offer was accepted that we had made it through the hardest part of buying an apartment in Brooklyn. As first time buyers, we were now in even less familiar territory (they don’t show these parts on HGTV afterall) and we needed trustworthy advice. Apryl was wonderful throughout the... entire process – from the moment I reached out she was very forthcoming about the each step of the process/timelines/financial expectations and provided helpful guidance on what to look for in a mortgage provider. She speaks in lay terms (no lawyer jargon here!), is very direct and will patiently answer your questions, all while maintaining her easy going demeanor and humor. However, what I valued most was that you can tell she has been through it all – she would let us know what is standard, unusual, or a red flag. We encountered a few abnormal experiences with the mortgage/appraisal process, and even had to delay the closing due to a leak that caused damage to our apartment – Apryl ensured things ran as smooth as possible through all of this and built in long-term financial protections related to the damage.
