Mr. Johnson recently represented me. This has been the most difficult time of my life and he was nothing short of amazing. His knowledge of the law, experience, fairness and compassion helped make a tremendously difficult time manageable and productive. He exceeded all expectations and is certainly ...the way to go!

MJTG

Let me start by saying, If you do not appreciate Marty Johnson as an attorney or Like Marty Johnson as a person; there is something fundamentally wrong with you. MJ was highly recommended by an attorney friend of mine from Fairfield, CT. I made an appointment and became his client 60 minutes after. ... MJ is sharp as a razer. He is honest and cares about his clients. He will not allow your child to be affected by your divorce!! MJ will do what is needed and at the right time. MJTG is the title I gave him, which stands for Martin Johnson The Great. MJ is respected and admired by everyone, from the moment you park your car in the garage, walk through security, in the elevators, in the hallways, and most important in the court room representing you before the Judge. MJ knows the law, which earned him another title by me; THE PROFESSOR. This is the best law firm and the best attorney you can possibly have in your corner. MJ is the Michael Jordan of matrimonial matters – Pun intended!

The G.O.A.T

A good friend once told me “Who you surround yourself with, is a reflection of who you are”. Mr. Johnson sets a very high bar. It has been a pleasure and honor to have Mr. Johnson represent me over the years - my divorce and what has turned out to be 2 post matrimonial matters brought by my ex-wife ...and her family. I’ll get right to the point because that is how Marty rolls, you either have Mr. Johnson in your corner or you don’t. Mr. Johnson is not simply the best, he is hands down the Greatest Of All Time. Walk the halls of the courthouse and into the courtroom with Mr. Johnson and you will observe that he is universally respected by everyone, from the other attorneys, judges and even the security guards. This respect is well deserved and has been earned over many years of hard work and success realized on behalf of his clients. I am forever grateful for Marty and thank him for serving me and my family so well.

The best in the business! Bar none.

Marty Johnson has my highest, unreserved recommendation for managing a complex divorce in Westchester County. Marty is the best in the business and I am not alone thinking that way. When I hired Marty, I knew I was in good hands when I learned my wife's attorney recently went through his own divorc...e. Who did my wife's attorney choose, you ask? Martin T. Johnson! Unfortunately, this was not my first divorce and I did not have a good result the first time around. I speak from experience. To me, a divorce attorney has to be a good partner. Both the client and attorney have to work well together and be a good team to generate the best results. There are very few attorneys, in my mind, that can pull that off. They can't do it because their ego gets in the way...it's their way or the highway. Marty, on the other hand, actively sought my input and used it to maximum effect. He was responsive, compassionate and brutally effective with the information provided. I would marvel at the level of detail he could recite in open court and in judge's chambers where he would usually emerge with that 'I'm about to give you good news' contained smile. He translated facts and melded them into coherent legal speak that always resonated with the court. If I were to focus on one important aspect of Marty's effectiveness it would involve custody - the most emotionally charged and draining experience one can have. Some attorneys can prey on their client's emotions. Marty does not. During my experience, I left countless emotional voicemails and emails during the ups and downs of the custody and awful forensics process. I knew if Marty responded I was onto something and he would use it with remarkable effect. That said, his lack of response became just as important to me. If he didn't respond, I knew my points wouldn't amount to much in court and Marty didn't waste any time or billable hours addressing my emotions that would lead nowhere. I could go on and on but I'll conclude by saying Marty has a unique demeanor that generates respect of the judges, law guardians, and his opponents alike. My truly amazing results are testament to his remarkably high skill level. He destroyed his opponents with a smile and while maintaining the utmost respect of the court. My wife ended up burning through three attorneys and ultimately admitted in open court that she had no match for Marty. My divorce had a lot of moving parts - so many moving parts that it could have been a disaster if we didn't work well together. At one point, Marty was managing custody issues, a failed real estate transaction of my own doing (don't ask) and alleged violations of protective orders. It was a mess that Marty managed for me with such effectiveness that, looking back, I don't know how I could have gotten through it without him. The moral of this story: you want Martin T. Johnson in your foxhole.

Well Represented

Marty Johnson represented me in a matrimonial case for 18 months. This was a very challenging case which required a lawyer with vast experience and a solid understanding of matrimonial law. Marty was able to guide me through the legal issues of the case and consistently afforded me direct and clea...r answers to the questions I posed throughout the process. I felt very comfortable relying on his advice knowing it was well founded in the law and that I was deriving the benefit of his many years of experience in the field. His advice consistently centered around what was best for me and my children and at all times Marty sought an expeditious and fair resolution to the case. The ultimate resolution to the matter reinforced the fact that the advice provided along the way was on point each step of the way. Representation by Marty Johnson meant that I could focus on and concern myself with a resolution to the case. Not having to worry about my representation was a huge advantage and a burden I did not have to concern myself with. Without hesitation I will continue to recommend and refer clients to Marty Johnson.

Relationship: Opposing Counsel on matter

"I have worked on a number of cases with Mr. Johnson as opposing counsel. He is a tough litigator and impressive negotiator with a courtroom presence and signature style that has earned him the respect of the bench and bar. He remains one of the most experienced divorce lawyers working in New York State and brings a wealth of experience to his cases. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone seeking a smart, skilled and ethical attorney in a complex family law matter."
