Highly recommend. I was happy with the outcome of my divorce. The most important aspect throughout the process was maintaining a significant relationship with my children, and although my ex-spouse was fighting for sole custody, I was awarded joint custody, 50-50. Ms. Rayner fought to ensure I would ...maintain joint custody. The legal process was explained clearly to me, and I was kept informed every step of the way. Ms. Rayner listened carefully to my concerns and worked with me to achieve my goals. Communication was timely and professional, both from Ms. Rayner and her office. At trial, my Ms. Rayner demonstrated excellent professionalism and skill. The legal fees were reasonable and in line with what one might expect. Kim was highly recommended to me by my previous attorney when I needed to find an attorney who was licensed in both NY/NJ. Kim was able to settle my post-judgement matrimonial issue out of court; I was happy with the outcome. Kim was also able to reduce my child support obligation which my previous... attorney told me was VERY unlikely to happen. Kim was professional throughout and honest with her billing practices. The staff at the office was also very courteous and got back to me in a timely manner whenever I had a question. Ms. Rayner provided fierce advocacy for my position in a contentious divorce case. While we eventually proposed and accepted a settlement, we had begun trial proceedings and it was readily apparent that the other side was completely overwhelmed by her. If I could make one criticism of Ms. Rayner's ...work for me, it is only that she be more attentive to her clients' need to communicate and discuss relevant issues; she was often too busy to communicate outside of court meetings.
